The table was almost clear by now when I heard the front door open. Xiumin entered the kitchen first, looking in the fridge. Kris behind him. Kris was our alpha. I contemplated telling him about the girl upstairs. The one we found in the woods last night was asleep in my room after Kris ordered both me and Suho to put her back out in the forest after we fixed her leg. Obviously we saw she was in horrible condition and if we left her out there someone or something else would definitely get to her and it wouldn't be good.

If I didn't tell Kris we had kept her and he finds out on his own we'd all be skinned alive. Not literately, but we'd be punished for disobeying. Maybe shunned. I was willing to keep her if it meant she wouldn't get torn apart. "What's up?" Kris said to me. He had a cup of milk in his hand. "Why do you look like you killed someone." I froze. "You didn't kill anyone did you?" He asked noticing my sudden stillness.

"No- no I didn't" I'm not sure why I'm panicking. Probably because I have someone upstairs who really shouldn't be here.

"Then what is wrong?" Now Xiumin was looking at me and him from the living room. "Did you get rid of that girl?" I leaned on the table, unable to say anything. "You didn't!" He was now yelling. I tried to shush him, but he told me to shut up and pushed me. He made his way to the back room where we had kept Jada. Obviously, she wasn't in there.

"Calm down, Kris!" I yelled to him. He turned to me and I could see his eyes glowing brighter. Xiumin rushed over to us yelling that Kris needs to breathe.

Eventually Kris calmed down and I sat him down. He wouldn't even look at me. I wouldn't blame him as I was almost the cause of him turning into a werewolf in the house. Kris was one to always want to keep it hidden. He wants us to keep it hidden that is one reason he doesn't want her here.

"You can't keep her here, Kai." He said calmly. "She's dangerous. She'll be in danger." He breathed. Finally he turned to me. The color in his eyes returned to their normal shade of a mysterious brown.

"We can protect her." I exclaimed.

"Protecting her we will only be putting us in danger." I was really getting fed up with this word 'danger' She wasn't in much danger with us than she would be if we left her back out in the woods. Kris isn't an evil person. He doesn't want her to die out there, but he doesn't want to have her die or be killed because of us. Her blood will be on our hands and Kris didn't want that. He was only looking out for us, but I can't let him convince me to leave her back in the woods. "Kai, they will come for her and we can't protect her without one of us getting hurt!"

"Then let me protect her!" I yelled. "She will be my responsibility." I quieted down. "She's injured."

"I understand that bu-"

"If you make us abandon her out there she will die and maybe you'll think it's all over, but some of us will feel deeply that it is our fault."

"You mean you will feel like it is your fault."

"I will too." We all turned to see Lay standing in the walkway of the kitchen wrapped in a blanket. "Can't we atleast keep her until she's better. If we leave her out there- like Kai said- its like leaving an injured deer in a bear trap. She will die."

"And plus our scent is already on her, since she is in our house. They'll find her and think she is one of us." Xiumin added. Kris shot a look at him.

"Fine, fine- she can stay until she is healed. That is it. After that you guys will have to make her leave." He stood up from the chair and pushed passed us. I followed, quietly behind him up the stairs and split from his trail to go to my room.

"Jada?" I whispered so Kris couldn't hear me. If he knew I had her in my room he'd freak out, but I was willing to have him shun me or whatever if it meant  keeping her happy. I could see the outline of her frame turn around under my blanket. She mumbled a quiet yeah. She should be asleep. I pulled out some blankets and an extra pillow from my closet and made my bed.

Jada clouded my mind. Her beautiful eyes and her hair was just perfect. She was beautiful and whoever hit her made my blood boil. I could help thinking about the way she covered her scars she had on her arms. I could tell those wasn't from last night.

She needed to be protected. She needed to be loved.
