Chapter 12

Kris ignored me the rest of the day. I wasn't trying to be his friend or anything I just wanted him to maybe stop looking like he'd kill me any chance he'd get. "Oh my god! Jada." Kai almost yelled once coming in the door and seeing. I knew that he hadn't seen my beat up face since he left early this morning. His hands ghostly touched my cheeks as he examined them. "I can't believe he'd do this to you." His voice cracked as if he was going to cry.

"I am ok, Kai." I assured. Lay and Baekhyun coming into sight with a shocked expression. "Guys I'm okay." I said again. This time I was getting self conscious about my looks. I wish the bruises would disappear faster than three days. I'd rather have everyone coming home and telling me how their days were except greeting me with looks of im-so-sorry or the first thing they ask is if I'm ok. I'm fine. Kai's hands fell to his side as he stopped looking at my face.

"She's fine." Kai said looking to the two others who still stood there looking at me. "I said she's fine! Go away." He raised. Both Lay and Baekhyun turned and left the sight of Kai. He took a seat where Kris was at and looked at the tv. "Oh my god." He said turning to me. I hated when anyone yelled and Kai just did it in front of me. I knew Kai would not hit me but the louder anyones voice got would make me think violence and pain. I sunk back into my seat with my eyes on Kai. He looked at me without words. "Jada I'm sorry." He apologized.

"Kai don't." I shook my head. He wasn't yelling at me he was just getting a little defensive. "You didn't mean anything by it." He sat silent by me for what felt like forever then left the room leaving me to my thoughts and the boring tv program on tv. I'd lost the remote so I couldn't turn it and I didn't know where anyone was at so I was stuck watching this documentary on mystical creatures. The voice over of the man with a british voice and on the topics on werewolves.

The werewolf is a diverse creature. Living in packs, half human, half wolf. Reports say Werewolves will attack anything that moves but when in the human form they can seem like every other human. Nothing is different except for if you are around them long enough you can notice that they can get very attached as they start excepting you into their pack. Like all wolves their packs are very important to them. Large packs can have one alpha male and one alpha female that is unless they are all males they they can have one alpha male and one leader alpha male. When around werewolves you can easily tell by the characteristics who qualifies as a beta and who qualifies as a alpha.

Werewolves in human form can often be told apart from regular humans by their eyes. Werewolves eyes shine brighter than any other humans eyes when angered, but because of the many colored contacts nowadays anyone can have have the eyes like a werewolf. Lyncans are more likely to have bright shining green eyes. Especially in creature form. Lyncans are a cross breed of werewolf and vampire. They bite for the fun of it and to turn others into on of them. If encountered by a werewolf/Lyncans or a person who you believe is one stay far away. Remember silver bullets can kill werewolves in a heart beat, but Lyncans can only be killed by one of them.

The subject dropped to witches and demons but I wasn't interested. I thought for a while. A long while. The animal I saw and thought was a dog was not any dog. Eyes like that do not shine on a dog. While talking about the Lyncans biting victims a few pictures showed up of the bites. Very similar to mine I couldn't help but feel like Kai knew something was up. They knew it wasn't a raccoon. No one shares a look like that if they found out a raccoon was in their house. I wasn't just jumping to conclusions that it is Lyncan, but im not going to let it go and just believe it's a raccoon.

I located both Lay and Baekhyun in the kitchen huddled over some papers which were sprawled out on the table. "Hey is there a library around here?" I asked. Both of them looked up at me confused. Maybe expecting an explanation. I wasn't going to tell them that I was going to the library to find books on Lyncans and werewolves. I wasn't going to tell them I wanted to look into the medical care part to find a book on animal bites. "I want to find a book to read. It gets really lonely here." I didn't lie I just kept my answer short.
