Chapter 28 – The Ice Mountains
Koda woke and got out of his sleeping sack. He woke a fire and heated up some deer meat, as he packed up his things. When the deer meat was ready he woke Delsin and they ate quickly. They then packed up the shelter and put their packs onto Hachi who seemed to be excited to see Koda again. They both mounted Hachi and continued to head northwest.
They road until sunset, but Koda wanted to keep going.
“Dell, you can see the mountain from here it wouldn’t take that long to get there.” Koda stated.
“Yes, but when we got there it would be dark, do you plan on sleeping inside it with Eostra on the loose!?” Argued Delsin.
“Fine we will wait until morning.” Koda said. His friend had made a good point, but there was no way he was going to wait until morning to save Kiara, she could be dead by then.
Once Delsin was asleep he pulled a small pack and placed some dried deer meat in it, along with Kiara’s parka. He quickly snuck out of the shelter and headed up the snowy cliffs with only a torch, his bow and quiver, and his pack.
