Jack just shrugged his shoulders. We were quiet for a few minutes after that, trying to figure out what was wrong with Jack. Then Johnson gasped. "What if he likes YOU?!" He suggested.
"What the frick?! No!" I lightly pushed his shoulder. "Ew! Why would that thought even be IN your head?"
"Well, he only acts like this to you."
"Ew," I say once again, still disgusted that Johnson could even think that. I mean yeah, I love Jack, with all of my heart, but not like that. I could never see us dating or anything. He's like the brother I never had.
We finally go back into the cafeteria and Madison stares me down until I walk up to our table and sit. "Where have you guys been?" She asks. "Outside." Johnson speaks simply. "You left me in complete silence the whole time you were gone!" "Shoulda made conversation, then," I say, not letting Johnson say another word. We all know he likes her. I don't want him to mess that up. She just rolled her eyes.
"Sup, G?" Johnson said, sitting down.
"Nun," Jack said. He was just sitting there as if he was disappointed. Or maybe hurt. What if he actually DID like me like that and he just heard my entire conversation with JJ? I may have said those things; Ew, gross, etc.; but that doesn't mean I meant it. I mean like, I don't know if I meant it.
"Y'all wanna do something after school?" I asked, taking a bite out of my cheeseburger. By this time, Madison had already left to sit with her other friends.
"Sure," Jack (Gilinsky) said.
Johnson looked over to me, then to Jack, then back to me and smirked saying, "Can't." Ugh, great. Now I have the whole afternoon with Jack...
"So, what do you have planned?" He asked.
"Nothing. That's the problem." We both just laughed. "Whatcha wanna do?" I asked, maybe with a tad of flirting.
"What if we had a movie night? Just sit on the couch and binge watch a TV show or movie series or something?" He suggested.
It was Friday night and I had nothing better to do, so I said yes. "Yeah. Let's do it. Sounds fun."
"Great. My house or yours?"
"My parents are on vacation for the next week, so mine?"
"K."
From that moment, we just ate our food. I didn't even get to finish my cheeseburger by the time the bell rang for us to go to 6th period; the last class of the day.
This is one of those classes where the teacher doesn't care where we sit or what we do, because no matter what, we will get an A. So, I sat down in my usually seat; the one in the back corner. I waited for a minute or two for Madison to come and sit next to me, but she wasn't in class. I opened up a book because I had no one to talk to. Then I hear footsteps coming closer to me. The footsteps stop and then the person sits down. It definitely wasn't Madison, but Jack. Jack Gilinsky. Great.
"Sup, Gilinsky." We usually call the guys by their last names just because it's easier.
"Hey, dork." We both giggled. "Whatcha reading?"
" 'I know why the caged birds sing' by Maya Angelou." I reply.
"Ew." He said jokingly, and we both laughed once again.
"So, why are you sitting here? Shouldn't you be with your guy friends?" I asked sarcastically.
"I don't know, you looked lonely."
"I'm fine, Jack." I say reassuringly.
"Well, too bad. I'll just sit here to annoy you then."
I roll my eyes playfully. "Don't you roll your eyes at me," He said starting to tickle me.
"Jack! Jack stop!!" I say through my laughs. "Jack!! Stop it!!"
"Fine, fine. I'll stop." He says, stopping just like he said. "But only if you let me sit here."
"Are your other friends going to follow you?"
"I can't promise anything."
"Fine. But only if you SWEAR not to tickle me."
"Deal." He said, holding out his hand for me to shake.
"Dummy." I said giggling.
"Nah."

I was walking out of school into the parking lot only to see Jack waiting by my car. "Drive me?" He asked.
"Fine. Get in."
"Why don't we just go straight to your house?" Honestly, I completely forgot about tonight. Shoot.
"Don't you wanna change into something a little comfier?" I asked.
"Yeah, sure." I was driving into our neighborhood--he only lives a few houses down from me--and I dropped him off at his house. While he was getting out, he kissed me on the cheek. What was that?? I thought Probably nothing.
I drove over to my house and changed into something comfier than the outfit I was wearing now.
I changed into some gray joggers, a gray sweater and a gray hat. (Seen below)

A few minutes later I hear the doorbell ring. I go to open it and see jack shirtless with some black joggers on and no shoes. "Jack what the heck?"
"What?" He asked innocently "You said dress comfy."
