"You aren't breaking up with me, right?"

"What?? NO! Jack, I could never..."

"Good..." I know Jack wanted to cry, but I also know that he wouldn't cry in front of me. We were quiet again for a good bit of time. "I'm gonna get going. I've been here for two hours. And your parents probably want to see you."

"Bye..."

"Bye." He mumbled, walking out the door.

After he left and I saw him out the window walking down the sidewalk, I walked downstairs to talk to my parents.

"Hey mom, hey dad."

"Hi, sweetie! Why was Jack walking out the door crying?" Mom quizzed.

"That's not important right now, how was your vacation?"

"Sweetie, our vacation is not nearly as important as our daughter's life right now."

"Mom, it's fine. Honest."

"Y/N... What happened? Are you guys still friends...?"

"Mom, of course we're still friends... But things have just been a little complicated the past week."

"Awe... Sweetie, I'm so sorry...." She sympathized, getting up from her seat to hug me.

"You know, this is kind of off topic, but I didn't like most of your boyfriends. I think you and Jack should date." my dad recalled out of no where.

My face lit up, but I tried to make it stop. "Dad...?" I said, looking at my feet while smiling.

"... What?"

"Hold on. Be right back." I blurted, running out the door. You may or may not know where I was running to, but here's the hint: No need to use a car.

I ran to his house and busted through the door. "Molly!! Where's Jack??"

"In his room, why?"

"Thanks!" I ran up the stairs and to Jack's room.

"JACK! Come on! This is important!!"

"What is it??" He said, shooting up from his bed.

"My dad thinks we should date."

"But we are dating."

"Exactly! He likes you!!" I had a smile plastered on my face from ear to ear and it just wouldn't go away.

"Well then what are we waiting for?" He asked, grabbing my hand and shooting out the door. We ran all the way to my house and busted through the front door. My mom and dad were talking, but I couldn't tell what about because they stopped as soon as we came in.

"Mom? Dad?"

"Yes sweetie?" They said in unison.

I was silent for a second or two because I was scared of their reaction. I know dad likes him, but what if it was a joke?

"We're dating." Jack says directly.

A huge smile plastered across my mom's face and I could tell that dad was trying to keep it in. I look over to Jack and he looks to me and we both smile. "Yeah." I say, looking over to my parents, still smiling.

We were all silent for a few moments after that until my dad said "welcome to the family, Jack," breaking the silence.

Jack and I smiled the biggest smiles ever and I ran up to my dad and hugged him.

We were sitting on the couches watching Mean Girls. Me and Jack were on the recliner with me on his lap, while my parents were on the couch.

"So how long have you guys been dating?" Mom asked, pausing the movie.

"Umm... going on 2 weeks." I love how active he is with my parents. He's never scared to talk to them or anything. Me and Jack have known each other since we were babies, so my him and my parents have talked a bunch. I guess he just feels comfortable around them. Good.

"Yeah. We started dating the Sunday after you guys left, but we confessed our feelings that Saturday."

MRS. Y/L/N'S POV

I am beyond happy for these two. I love them both and I always thought Jack would be a good boyfriend. I have watched him grow through all of these years and the young man he has become is amazing. His parents are great role models, he has good friends, and he has an amazing girlfriend now that is my daughter. I always thought that Jack and Y/N should date. I just never said anything because I thought it would mess up their friendship or something. I didn't want that for them. They are best friends and I would never purposely hurt that for them. I love them both so, so much. I'm so happy that they are dating!!!

JACK'S POV

I am amazed at how well Y/N's parents are taking us. I always knew they liked me, but I never thought they would want us to date. Mrs. Y/L/N says that she has wanted us to date for the longest time. And Mr. Y/L/N says that he has always liked me and thought that me and Y/N were perfect for each other. I thought the same thing. I love her so freaking much.

MR. Y/L/N'S POV

Honestly, Jack is probably my favorite boyfriend of Y/N's ever. He's always been like family. Whenever they were little, Jack would always come over for play dates. They would literally see each other every day. They couldn't live without each other. I am beyond happy for them and can't wait to see what the future holds for them. I love both of them with all my heart. I cannot believe how old they are becoming. Ugh. It just makes me sad every time Y/N brings home a new boy. But this time it's different. I love the way that Jack has always treated Y/N. They are perfect for each other....

Y/N'S POV

Mom and Dad are taking this so well. I'm so happy. I really didn't think of any of the things they were talking about. Dad said things like he always knew we would be together eventually because of our bond or whatever. Mom said things like "Oh, you guys are perfect for each other!" and at one point, she started crying. It was amazing. Definitely the best day ever.
