You know, maybe tonight doesn't have to be about babysitting. Maybe this can be a test. A test to see if I want kids with this man or not.
I smiled at Jack and Saydee, and resumed making dinner. Saydee was having some delicious (haha, not) green bean flavored baby food. Delicious, lol, but that's what James and Sophie set out. Jack and I had some waffles and a bagel. Great dinner, right. 19 years old and still can't cook.
After dinner, we laid Saydee down in her bed and went into the living room to watch a movie. The living room was a mess with Saydee's toys and I really didn't feel like cleaning it up. "You've worked hard tonight, I'll clean it up." Jack said.
"Jack I can—"
"I'm doing it!" He insisted.
I rolled my eyes and smiled at him and went to sit on the couch and find a movie. We decided together to watch Truth Or Dare. A new movie about the game truth or dare. It's a thriller. Jack and I love to watch these sort of movies together, and I dont know why.
I fell asleep in Jacks arms about halfway through the movie, and he fell asleep a few minutes before me.
— JAMES' POV
I had 2 plans tonight. Plan one was to make Y/N AND Jack babysit so that Y/N could see how great he is with kids and maybe want to marry him and eventually have kids together. Plan Two was to propose to Sophie. Except no one knows about it besides mom and dad. And obviously her parents, too.
We were in the restaurant and she was finishing up her dessert. I got up from my seat and she looked at me, confused. I was super scared, but I was ready. I knelt down on one knee and she covered her mouth in surprise. "Sophie Marie Garner. I've known you since we were little kids. I've known for a while about what I'm doing now," I looked around and people were looking at us, smiling. "Sophie, we've had a child together, and there's no one on this earth I would rather spend my life with than you, so will you marry me?" I smiled.
Sophie was crying, I'm guessing tears of joy. "Yes! Oh my god, yes!!" She stood up and kissed me passionately. She was practically jumping up and down with excitement. The people around us clapped and cheered us on. We sat back down and she admired the ring on her finger.
Whenever we got home, Jack and Y/N were out cold on the couch. Saydee was in our room sleeping, and mom and dad were in their room, awake. Sophie and I walked into Mom and Dad's room. "I put a ring on it," I smile, showing them her hand. Mom jumped up from her spot on the bed and hugged me and Sophie.
— Y/N'S POV
The next morning, I didn't hear anyone awake, and the TV was still on. Did James even come home last night? I walk out of the living room and into James' room where I see him and Sophie laying in the bed together and Saydee awake in her bed, crying softly. I pick her up and bring her into the kitchen for some breakfast. I decided I would just make some eggs, bacon, and toast for everybody.
"Scrambled eggs are fine for your gums, right?" I ask, mostly to myself, feeding Saydee a piece of scrambled eggs. That's when Jack walked in. I didn't notice at first, until he came up from behind me and hugged me, burying his face into my neck. "Good morning," I kiss his forehead, the only thing on his face I can reach. He didn't say anything back, he looks super tired, so I didn't think anything of it. We did stay up pretty late last night. He let go of me and went to sit at the table. I made him a plate and he started eating. "Thank you," he said, scooping up a bite into his fork.
"You're welcome," I walk over to him and give him a peck on the lips. I walk back over to Saydee, pick her up, and put her in her high chair. Her plate was already over there and she started eating immediately. I made myself a plate and sat down next to Jack. I got out my phone and started scrolling through Instagram. That's when I see a picture of a ring on a girl's finger with the caption saying: "My beautiful fiancé😍♥️". The post was made by—

Y/U/N: wuuuutt?
— I was beyond confused. Was that Sophie? Where did he get that ring? How did I not notice the ring on Sophie's finger when I went to get Saydee?
I turned off my phone and James walked in. "Congrats, bro." I say, taking a sip of my orange juice.
He looks at me with furrowed eyebrows, "umm... thanks? For what?"
"Your engagement, doofus. Congratulations."
"Oh, thank you!" He smiles and I smile back at him.
"It's amazing that you told me and all that. I mean, it was just flattering. I loved it. I almost cried." I say sarcastically.
"Calm down, she-devil." James shoots back.
"Let's go to your house." I looks over to Jack, completely ignoring James.
"K." He picked up our plates and put them in the sink, and we were off. We walked all the way to his house, where Molly was pacing around the living room and crying. "Yooo... what's goin on?!" Jack runs over to her and wraps her up in his arms. We all sit on the couch, Molly in the middle of us, and she eventually tells us what's wrong. "Tyler finally asked me out."
"Why is that bad?" I ask, confused.
"I said no!" She cried, leaning into Jack's chest.
"What? Why?!"
"Because I was overwhelmed. I dont know. I didn't MEAN to say no!" She sniffed.
A couple of hours later, Jack Molly and I are at Starbucks waiting for Tyler. When we finally see his truck pull up, Molly gets up "I can't do this," and starts walking towards the bathroom. I walk to her and grab her arm, bringing her back. When we sit down, Tyler walks in. Jack signals him to come sit with us. "Molly would like to speak with you," he said bluntly. Molly nods her head, but no words come out. I roll my eyes and look at Tyler "she wants to go out with you. She was overwhelmed when you asked, and she didn't mean to say no."
"Is that true?" He blushed.
Molly nodded her head, "Yeah..." she finally spoke.
