There was a crowd on the front door of the academy. The results were officially in. Everyone wanted to know who are the lucky ones who are going to be trained with the second most vicious alpha's of all. Alpha Ronan Luca Donovan, the rogue king was going to train best of the best. The leaders of the elite team.
However it does not matter to her. Paige Diana Morgan was already declared the leader of the female warriors of the elite Royal forces. No one dared to challenge her. She was most of the time unpredictable, And used irrational but effective methods to get the answers out of potential threats.
She walked into the building in her usual black cloths. She has not friends in the academy. They are too afraid to make any kind of conversation. She likes it. It is her own way of coping. She does not like anyone around her.
She knows she can talk to destiny anytime she likes. Her only friend the Luna queen was away with Alpha King leaving most of the work of the academy in the hands of former alpha. Not that she cares. The lesser they knew the better. She looked at the time. She knew she is going to earful from Daniel. Or Alpha Kingston as she calls him.
He was the third most feared alpha known to the world. The trio which no one can defeat, the legends among all the wolf land. But she never understood why someone as sweet as Alpha Kingston would have been feared among wolf population.
She neared the room where she was suppose to give the report. She can sense the power radiating from that room. Daniel was in heated discussion with someone. "You will not going to do this Daniel no matter what you know the consequence of your actions"
She knows the voice so well. That voice had given her Goosebumps for so long. "It cannot be. Was he already here? But wasn't he was out to handle the Rogue problem out in their territory? Why is he back so suddenly?" She thought her hand pausing in mid air. "She is mine to began with Ronan don't you think I care about her? Don't you know what I have to go through everyday knowing we may never be together? Do you think I want this for us?" Daniel's voice sounded desperate and frustrated.
"I don't care Kingston just stay away from her until she is old enough to understand this all" She moved back allowing the Rouge king to come out of the room fuming. But as soon as her eyes met his all the anger inside him disappeared. His features soften while her eyes turned hard. "Miss Morgan" He greeted.
"Alpha Donovan" She nodded curtly. Not for a minute she let her mask slip. She was a warrior and the first lesson they all learned that they have to keep their emotions in check. Showing emotions is vulnerability. And she was not weak. Not anymore.
"So I think you made to the final team congratulations" Ronan's voice was proud. She can sense it and for some reason it sent a wave of warmth over her cold and dead heart. "Thank you alpha so is the rogue problem shorted?" She asked enquiring in professional voice.
"Yes I think we are good for now. Xander made sure that we handled the problem well enough. He is after all the alpha king." Ronan was not envious, nor jealous. He knows that Xander was a good leader even a good mate to his sister. She nodded curtly. Not wanting to spend any more time in his presence.
"I must go I have to submit the field report to Alpha Kingston" She said not even looking at Ronan. She was about to open the door but he held her wrist and prevented her from doing so. She first looked at him confused.
And then it hit her, He had touched her without her consent. Anger started to flare within her. How dare he do such thing. He might be the most powerful Alpha maybe next one line for the Throne if something happens to the King and Queen. Maybe he is the second most dangerous and powerful wolf in whole kingdom.
But she didn't cared. She Jerked her hand back and out of instinct her fist tried to connect with his jaw. He caught it swiftly. And twisted it back careful enough not to damage her hand or wrist in the process. He pulled her into his hard chest and slowly put his neck on crook of her neck.
She stiffen as she felt his there. "Your reflexes need improvement babe. I don't mind showing you how much you need to be in my class tomorrow morning in the first place." She struggled in his arms trying to break free of his hold. Her eyes began to water but she refused to cry. She is strong.
She clicked him on the shins making him fall down. But oh he was enjoying it too much. "Looks like you love making me fall for you Little mate" Ronan hissed under his breath. "Don't call me that. I am never going to be your mate. I am not your mate" She shouted.
"Careful love or everyone will know you are not heartless enough." Ronan said in a venomous tone. She has not rejected him. But she didn't accepted him either. She did took another route. She gave herself fully into training. The harder she trained, the more physical pain she felt and then it made her into this, the first known female head warrior of the Royal elite forces.
Ronan got up and dusted himself up. "if you are going to give your field reports to someone you are going to report to me from now on. I am taking over from today. But you must have not known that. Because you never pay attention to the things that are related to me." Ronan chuckled bitterly.
"You were the one who pushed me away in the first place Alpha Donovan. You told me to stay away and I am doing that staying away from and from your presence." She spat turning around.
"Fine I did pushed you away but I was confused at that time. And you don't even know me" Ronan said in a pleading voice. "That is the thing Alpha Donovan I don't want to know you" With that she left in hurry.
