He felt the bond strengthening. Her acceptance made it stronger now he only need to say the words back and it will strengthen more. " I Ronan Luca Donovan accept You Paige Diana Morgan as my mate and my alpha. I pledge my life to you forever. And I forever be loyal to you" He said. Paige felt her blood sing and her connection with him strengthen some more.

Paige was in loss for word. She was his alpha? But does she wants to be her alpha? "Why did you said so? Why you said that you will pledge your life to me? Why did you said so that I am your Alpha?" She asked.

"So that if I tried to get out of control you can tame me. I do not want to hurt you ever Paige and there is a reason why I have given you authority over me" He said to her.

"Let's go you must be hungry I had kept you with me for long with me. I am afraid if I keep you for longer I might not be able to let you go ever. I might give into temptation and then I might lock you in my room and hold you to myself.

I cannot deny this baby I want you for myself. Now more than ever. You are like my anchor in the stormy sea. Only thing preventing me from drowning" He said.

"Do you want to let go?" She asked. "It is not my choice anymore. I told you Paige I am going to do what you want me to. We will take this slow." He said to her. Paige started to walk by his side.

He left her in the kitchen of the castle and then walked towards the office. He was at little ese now. He can sense her emotions but he didn't wanted to rush into anything. He didn't wanted to lose the progress he had made.

But he decided to do one thing that he needed to give Daniel credit for this brilliant idea. He cannot believe that dumb's idea actually worked. If only he could find the happiness too. He dismissed the thoughts and decided to pay his friend a little visit soon.

Paige stood in middle of the kitchen looking at Destiny helping with the pack. She have to admit she knows everything about being a warrior but nothing about being compassionate or a Luna or a good mate.

She hated that she didn't even know when her mate's birthday was. And she hated Ronan for not thinking about his necessities too. He should have.

Without thinking twice she walked towards Destiny. "Luna" She greeted. Destiny turned around smiling. "You do not need to call me by my Title and you are one too" Paige gasped. "How do you know?" She asked.

"it is a Queen thing. So I think you are hungry and confused about lots of thins want to share it over lunch?" Destiny said pulling her away from kitchen and towards the backyard.

"So Ronan and you accept each other am I correct?" Destiny asked sipping her wine. "Yes I did. He accepted me as his alpha" Destiny didn't looked surprised. "Xander did it too. He admitted I am a better leader than him" She laughed at the memory. "I am confused and I am little afraid too. Can I be good Luna? Can I be like you?" She asked.

"No. You cannot be like me" Destiny answered bluntly making Paige sigh in defeat. "You can be like yourself and that is even better girl. I think you will rock as a Luna. All you need is always been inside you. You need to believe" Destiny said holding her hand.

She nodded. "will you help?" She asked. "What kind of friend I will be if I didn't ?" Destiny deadpanned. "Is that all I can still see something bothering you" Destiny asked softly.

"yes. I am not very sure about all the mating thing. I decided to give him a chance but I am still afraid. I do not know a thing about being romantic. And I still don't know his birthday. I wanted to do something special for him but I am afraid I may mess up" she said in one breath.

"Slow down Tiger it is not something you can learn to be. It is something comes from heart. And his birthday is easy it is one week from now February 15th and we can plan it together." Paige liked this idea.

"And Paige Ron does not actually opens up to people. He had a troubled past. I rather not talk about it. But all I can say that he need you more than you can think."

Xavier was looking at the pair and then he decided to join them. He kissed Destiny's cheek and sat down beside her. He looked at Paige who looked little envious. Xander chuckled inwardly.

"Paige I hated Ronan at first but now he is like the brother I never had. He is a good guy and beside everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves. And believe me when I say this Love has power to heal any wound no matter how much deep it may be." Xander said looking lovingly at Destiny.

"Go now Xander we were having girls day and you are not allowed in it" Xander groaned and then said "At least it is not a girls night out." Destiny snickered "Xander Gabriel Anderson You are sleeping in the dog house" This made Paige laugh.

Xander looked confused "But we don't own a dog or a dog house" Xander said innocently. "well I do own a Dog and he is big hairy and black and he is sleeping out tonight for being a pig"

Paige was laughing hysterically now. Xander slowly lowered his head and said "Yes Alpha" in low tone and left the room. "How do you manage to do that? The mighty alpha king is just behaving as a scared pup in front of you?" Paige asked in surprise. "It is nothing really. It is that he loves me too much to see me upset and you will see what effect you can have when you mated fully."

Paige gasped in surprise. Then painful thoughts filled her memories. She was not very keen on marking and mating. Destiny felt the unease and fear radiating off her. She held her hand squeezing her fingers softly as a reassurance.

"It Is alright to be afraid. It is alright to question Paige I did too. And Xander was not the loving mate when I met him. But we came together and fought our demons. He helped me and I helped him. We mended each other."

Paige looked at her astonished. She always thought that they were that couple who was that perfect fairy tale life. But now she knew she might have been wrong. Maybe she was wrong about Ronan too.

May be inside that cold exterior only lives a broken man trying so hard to hide his true self from the world.

Love heals every wound.

But can it heal hers? Does it have a power to hear her even though she is afraid of the feeling itself?
