Ronan slammed his office door. It can be heard from miles. He was pissed. No he was furious. His wolf was howling in agony. He wanted his mate close. But Damn why she have to be this hard headed. All he wanted was to hold her close. It had been two long years. Three and half years since he had known she was his mate.

The one he was destined to be with. And it was becoming harder and harder to not to give into the temptation. "In my office now we need to talk and I know you are back so no excuses brother"

Destiny's voice brought a smile on his face. His sister who was so precious to him. He wanted to protect her from everyone. But he knows her mate and her was more than capable of doing so. It put him in ease. He took his time to returned to the pack house from the office in the academy.

He likes the friendly stroll. The nature was always his second home. His wolf wanted to be free and run. But he knows better than to give into the temptation. He knows once he let his wolf out he will not hesitate to track down his stubborn mate and mark her hurting her in the process.

She does not want him anymore. But he wanted her. No matter how much he wants to lie to himself. He wanted her. He wanted to feel complete. The hollowness he felt inside was too much to bear now. He felt empty inside and felt bad that he pushed her away.

But he was young and didn't know. After all he was a murderer. How can he have that feeling of love. It was his fault anyways. He shouldn't have expected anything from his mate. She was working on her instincts. And she was not wrong. No one in her right mind would like to be with him.

He shied and looked at the unknown path he ventured too. The territory was too big to be memorized quickly and he is having the trouble in finding his way back to the pack house.

Then he saw the lake. And the bitter memories started to surface. Pain which he thought was forgotten began to tear him from inside again. Tears escaped his eyes as he saw the full moon reflected into the clear water of the lake. He let a painful howl leave from his throat and if anyone heard they can sense the agony in his voice.

He was hurting and the thing is he don't want anyone to know. No one, not even Destiny and Amara. He has to carry this burden alone for rest of his lonely existence. He sat there looking at the moon for how long he didn't know. He didn't even hear the twig snap. He should have but it was already too late.

Paige was too angry on herself to let it happen. She didn't wanted any male to touch her. But him... He was her mate and sooner or later she have to accept him. She don't want to suffer the pain of rejection. But she cannot make herself come terms with it.

She learnt that there is no place for emotions in her life and here he is trying to make her feel one thing she never wanted to feel. She cannot fall in love. She vowed she will not and he made her feels all those she don't want to. She does not want a mate.

Having a mate means trouble. But she cannot make herself reject him, He protected her. He protected her once in expense of his life. He took the bullet that was about to hurt her during the fight that happened three and half years ago.

She thought he was dead and that was the most horrible thing she ever felt. But he dodged the bullet enough that it just grazed his thigh. He was her hero. And still he is. But mate? No she do not want him as a mate.

Paige entered to her assigned room. It was bigger because it was meant for a leader. She loved the privileges that come in with being the lead warrior and the dangers she lived for them. She loved being what she is today and she knows she won't be trading her life for a different one.

She threw her cloths in empty basket. She reminded herself that she have to do the laundry soon. "Tomorrow I will do it" She said turning on the shower and letting her body relaxed under warm water.

She put on a big t-shirt and some shorts. She decided to listen to some music. Suddenly she felt pained and a sense of uneasiness. Her heart pained for some reason. Her wolf trying to break free and trying to take over her body.

She knows something was wrong but what exactly she cannot pin point. "I know you hate my brother Paige but he was suppose to report here an hour ago. Is he is with you by any chance?"

Destiny's worried voice rang through the mind link. Then it hit her. She was feeling pain which was not her own. It can only mean one thing Ronan was in danger and hurt. A strange king of anger started to sip through her skin. The thought of him hurt was too much for her to endure.

"Destiny I saw him few hours ago when he came from his mission and then we fought. I am sorry I said few mean things to him. Do you know where he is?"

She tried not to sound desperate. But Desperate is only word to describe what she was feeling now. He must be in some mortal danger. And why he didn't reached the pack house yet? It just takes 10 minutes to reach the pack house from academy any way. Without thinking twice she put her sneakers on and decided to search for him herself.

"Destiny have you gotten any info on him I am going to mobalize my team and search for him if that is your desire my Luna" She told her in mind link. "Yes I would like you to do that..." Her voice faltered.

She was about to go inside the warrior's den and mobalized her team when Destiny's voice rang into her mind loud and clear "Paige I would like you to come here as soon as possible"

"Where?" She asked

"to the pack's Infirmary" her heart sank at those four words.
