Chapter 29

Paige walked after Ronan towards the room she was into. It was still puzzling when she was shifted to infirmary and why she was shifted there. Was it because of Paige? Maybe. Paige saw the back of her mate.

His broad frame was tensed about what he will find. He walked through the doors of infirmary and saw the pale figure of Eva.

"Eva" Ronan called. The brunette looked at Ronan. Her eyes widen in recognition. "Ronny is that you?" She asked.

She suddenly launched herself at Ronan hugging him tightly. Ronan was taken aback. He didn't know what to do. A growl escaped from Paige's mouth.

Ronan detached himself from Eva. And placed her on the bed. Hurt flashed across Eva's face. "Eva I am sorry but I would like you to meet with my mate. She is Paige Diana Morgan" He said pointing at Paige. "Oh, nice to meet you Paige" She said looking at the blond beauty in front of her.

"So how did you survived?" Ronan asked. "I was saved. I had ran on the last moment when you slaughtered the Previous alpha of the Dark pack. I didn't knew what will be the consequences of staying there so I just ran until I found this pack who had accepted me. I found my mate there and I had given birth to Victor"

The name sound strange kind of fear through Paige. But surely he was just a little child probably about ten. What harm can he do? "Our son, I am a father" Ronan gasped in surprise. "Ronny you know you are the rightful Alpha of the dark pack." Eva said.

"I know but I do not want to be alpha of the dark pack. I am happy being the Rogue king and now that I have my queen by my side. I am content as ever. I do not need anything else." He declared.

"Not even your son?" Eva asked. Paige knew she was playing him. She was playing a twisted sick game. As Victor was Ronan's first born. He was in line for throne only she needs to make him announce Victor as his first born that means he will be the heir"

"I never said I don't want to be part of his life. I do want to be a part of his life and give him his birthright. If that is what you want Evangeline since he is my first born, he is the rightful heir. The Royal" Ronan said making Paige's heart drop. Something was telling her that the worst is yet to come.

"Paige" Ronan called looking at her mate who was in deep thought. "yes?" She said finally. "You don't have any objection about the decision right?" He asked softly.

"N...no alpha I... I am alright with anything you say" She said softly. Her heart was beating wildly. Sure enough he was just a child. A little innocent child but what she was afraid for was Ronan's life.

"Excuse me I have some work. I will see you later" She kissed Ronan's cheek and walked out to find someone who can help her with her situation. Ronan looked at Eva now that they are almost alone at the room. She had grown into fine woman.

She was beautiful before but now she looks like a goddess. But not like Paige. Paige is just something else. She is sexy, fierce, gorgeous and she is exactly what Ronan needed in his life. No one can come close to the divine beauty she possess"

"You are in love with her don't you Ronny?" She asked. "Yes I am. I do love her." Eva's face fell for some reason. "Is it because she is your mate?" She asked a little hurt. This was not she was expecting from Ronan when she heard about him back at her home.

She was happy that maybe her Son will meet his real father and maybe just maybe they will become the family.

"No Eva. I am not in love with her because it was forced. I am in love with her and it is because I need no reason to love her Eva. Even if she was not my mate and I had been given a chance to be with her. I would have in a heartbeat. Because I don't need any reason to love her or to be with her." Ronan said a little more forcefully than was necessary.

Eva's eyes watered. "I am sorry Evie but you need to understand I loved you but I was never in love with you. I was in love with Kristey and since she died I only loved Paige. And it is not because she is my mate. It is because she is my world. I am sorry this happened and yes he will be my heir I cannot deny that. Victor will be known as Victor Donovan, my heir but apart from that I cannot do anything" Ronan said.

"But Luke what about us. You told me. You told me you will never going to leave me alone. You told me that you are going to be with me. We will marry and have kids and all the time in the world." Ronan felt irritated for some reason. He wanted to run into Paige's arm. He wanted to bury his sadness and grief in her love.

"I was fifteen Eva. I was young and foolish. I was tired and you were there to held me. You were there yes I admit. You were my only friend. The only girl I ever touched beside Christy. You are mother of my child but Eva, that was it. I had to go on with knowing that you died by my hands. I was guilty and pushed everyone away. You don't know what I had become before I met Paige. She made me laugh again. She made me realize what living really means. Paige is my Saviour Eva, because she saved me from myself." Ronan explained.

"Am I nothing to you?" Eva asked again. "Yes you are indeed something. You are my best friend and mother of my first born. And you have a mate." He stated. "But I can leave him. Only if you come back to me Luke we can be as we were" Eva sounded desperate.

"No we cannot. Eva please understand I do not feel a thing for you. I moved on and I found someone worth me. Someone who accepted me with my past and all the foolish mistake I had made. And there is no way I am letting her go not for anything"

Eva blinked back the tears. "I am sorry Ronny. I was not thinking rationally. But heed my warning. Not everyone in the Dark pack is happy to see you alive. The follower of the old alpha specially his Beta Hendrickson. Now he is leading the men against you. I cannot help it. They had him my Victor so I had to attack you. I cannot let my child get killed over this" Ronan nodded in understanding.

"I couldn't asked you to get our son killed for a foolish purpose. You say they still have him" She nodded. "Do you know the location of the place where they are keeping him?" She nodded.

"Ok then we will plan a rescue and take our son out of that place" She nodded again. "thank you Ronny for doing this"
