Chapter 37

Paige and Destiny waited patiently as the operator ran through the surveillance tape. They looked back and forth at the tape when Xander said suddenly

"Stop, stop just there" He said making the operator pause the video. "Rewind a little back" He instructed. "Just there and pause it now" He said.

The operator paused the video. "There zoom it please" Xander said. He nodded and zoomed the place Xander was pointing to. And it was no other than Evangeline who was dropping the body off. "No... Ron he is in trouble" Destiny cried.

"I haven't seen him since he lashed out and left. And I have a feeling that something is not right." Paige said looking at them horrified.

I want a search party up and ready and waiting at the main university grounds in five minutes.

Xander looked at Paige as he mind linked his beta Cade. "Come on sister we will find him. We will find him soon. We have to go and told them exactly what happened" Xander said.

"I...I am worried. What if he... he is already in some kind of trouble last time she... she..." Paige broke down and cried.

"She is a witch. She is no wolf. If she was I could have felt it. But she was no wolf" Destiny said looking at Paige conforming her suspicion.

"My son Victor" Ronan said hugging the little boy. "Vicky say hello to daddy" The boy looked at him. Same green eyes looking at him.

"Victor my victor" Ronan kissed his little face. "Our victor" He said looking at Evangeline. "Yes our Son. Your heir the true Heir now all you need to do is claim the rightful place as the ruler Ronny" She said. "Yes I need to claim my prize my throne" he said still in trance.

"Victor go and leave mumma alone for now. Go to your father" She said softly in the child's ear. He walked out of the tent and for astonishment of Ronan shifted into wolf cub and ran deeper into the forest.

"He can shift?" Ronan asked. "Yes I am amazed too. How he can shift at such a young age." Eva said smiling fondly at Ronan. "Come on let's go to bed I am tired aren't you tired too?" She asked.

As soon as they reached to the bed she threw him over it and unfasten her robe letting it fall on the ground. She yanked on his shirt and kissed him hard. "Woah slow down Evy. What is the rush? And we have to look for Victor too" Ronan said halting her.

"No we don't he is the future alpha of the dark pack. He can take care of himself." Evangeline said . "he is a child Evy more importantly he is your child" Ronan said and pushed her away.

Paige was standing in front of her loyal warriors. She knew that they will do anything for their leader and the Royal beta was the leader of them.

Her cousin Princeton was there too. "Warriors we have a situation in our hands. The crown Prince Ronan Luca Donovan was reported missing by his mate. We need to go look for him at once" Xander said looking at them.

"The suspect is the former associate of Alpha Donaovan. She is Evangeline Grey look out for her. She is dangerous and we suspect she is behind all this. She was found on the footage of the camera. Remember your main priority is Alpha Ronan." Xander said and everyone dispersed.

"We will find him don't worry. We will find him soon. He will be alright he will be here with you" Destiny assured her.

Ronan walked out of the tent in order to look for Victor. He was still ashamed over Evangeline because she behaved like that with her own child. And he was too amazed to know that his son who is just eight years old. He cannot look after himself even if he was the future alpha of Dark pack. He still is a child.

"Victor" He called there was no answer. He didn't know where to look for him. Or if he will be in his wolf form or not.

So he decided to shift and look for him in his wolf form. He shifted shredding what remainder of cloths he has left and tried to trace his scent. However he didn't find it until he was deep into the forest and a great distance from the tent.

He followed the scent and after few miles it just vanished if someone had poured water on the soil it had simply disappeared.

He frowned and decided to ask Eva if she knew where his son was. He was fully aware that he had angered her. But he was worried about his son. He looked at the forest as the rain begin to pour washing the scents and his trail was gone.

The forest looked the same every way and he have no idea where should he go. So he decided to follow his wolf instinct and ran towards a random direction.

Paige looked at Destiny as the warriors ran into the forest. "I cannot sit here Destiny I have to go or I will go crazy without knowing about my Ron" Paige said getting up.

"I am going to look for Ron" Paige stated. "But you can be a target Ronan might be in big trouble and..." Paige just tuned her out and shifted into her wolf painfully and ran in the direction of forest.

As Ronan was trying to find his way he sniffed something sweet and the wolf within him howled with joy for some reason. The wolf fought to take control and made Ronan ran in the direction of the sweet smell.

Ronan didn't fought with his wolf as every instinct in his body saying to follow the sweet scent. He ran without stopping as the shadows in the forest grew darker with the night. He was soon at the familiar territory.

He recognize it from somewhere. A feeling of contentment washed over him. It made him slow down and the smell hit him with full force.

Paige was running and trying to sniff the air for anything. She saw a blur pass by the forest and her wolf howled trying to take control of her body. She let it take control of her body fully and ran after the blur.

Ronan was standing stiff as he heard the footsteps on the forest floor echoing in the air. Suddenly he felt the presence behind him. And he turned around. The smell intensified and his heart thump wildly. There stood a red wolf a little smaller than his size. A she wolf who was beautiful like no other.

He walked towards her and then slowly sniffed her scent as the familiar sparks made its way all over his body and his wolf struggled to take control which he have no strength to fight with it. The wolf tackled down the red wolf licking it furiously as the sparks flowed down both their body and a rush of familiarity washed over Ronan. He knew who she was. He knows her. She was his mate.

But what he does not know that what he was doing here and how he reached here in the first place.
