Chapter 24

"Shhh... Don't cry baby. Don't you dare cry. It is alright we are all monsters inside" Paige rocked him back and forth as he cried in her arms. He was so damn broken. If only she had known this she would have tried to be a good mate. "You are not a monster Alpha Donovon" She said softly stroking his hairs.

"I am I didn't see Princess I didn't see what he was doing to my own mother. He raped her. He was not his mate. He raped her and she got pregnant with me. After I born he continued to do so. What I thought as love it was just lust and a stupid law of the Dark pack." She let him talk as she listened about the crimes of the dark pack.

"The law states that mates can only be taken from the pack. The pack members to be reject the mate which they had from another pack. And then they shunned down as omegas" Paige nearly gasped. "What? Is it even possible? Did the king and queen and elder council was deaf and blind?" Paige asked in horror. "No they are not but the dark pack was practically indestructible and untouchable." He said.

"They tried to take it down for so long. But it is just they used to kidnap so many people from different packs and torture them so it was better thought that council should leave them alone. And so they did and there crimes remained unpunished for so long." He explained it to her. "So what happened then?" Paige asked.

"I came of age. I was fourteen a healthy male. A illicit child maybe but I was still an alpha. And that was what my father required. He had already trained me into submission since I was five. And the laverage held against me was my mother. Other kids who were either high rankers or not at the same attention. But mine was harsher since I was to be the next alpha."

He was disgusted with his father. "He used to push me to my limits. I get beaten and whipped until my skin ripped away from my flesh. I hadn't got my wolf then but Amara had healed me little always. Amara was alpha's daughter and my little sister. Being a woman in dark pack is not a privilege. She was groomed to perfection. She was barely two to understand the luna duties. But she was groomed to be mine once she came of age. But how could I she was my little sister" Ronan spat.

"What did you do?" She asked. "She didn't understood anything so I protected her from everything. There was a girl who was close to me. She was also fourteen. Now as I was alpha blood I was presented with lots of young women from the pack. I was supposed to impregnate them" Paige gasped in horror.

"No you didn't did you?" She asked feeling as if she was stabbed in her chest. "I didn't. I saved them. But my father somehow found out. He...He..." he took deep breathe and said "On the night of my fifteenth birthday I shifted for the first time. But it was forced. They broke my bones one after another many times a day to make me force shift. It was to ensure the wolf would be strong and invincible."

Ronan looked at her Paige's eyes were closed. She was shaking in rage. "I was shifted as a new wolf so once I shifted back my father called me and took me to the torture room. I remembered his words and it haunts me till date.

Son now that you are a man I want you to take your first step towards manhood. Women are nothing but a toy to pleasure us and to make good little army of indestructible soldiers.

She was there. My best friend only one I talked to ever. She share her food and her room with me. She was my everything. He tied her and punched her at gut she whimpered. And I bit back a growl.

Now normally he would have stopped but that night he didn't he tore her cloths in front of me and I saw him raping her. She was just fourteen. She was so innocent. After he done that. He pushed me forward. Why don't you have a taste yourself. Now go on you know what is on stake. He said to me. He was keeping my little sister and my mother chained to the walls.

At least you are the one touching me not that monster. Luke please just do it don't think anything. Consider it as my last gift to you" Tears escaped my eyes. My father slapped my mother hard.

I softly caressed her cheek placing a soft kiss over her lips. She looked at me with watery eyes as I followed my father's instruction. I made sure she was not it pain. I made sure that I not make it much more painful than it already was. I was disgusted once I finished. I wanted to kill myself. I am horrible person. I am. That night she was healed but never was same again.

She came to me once and twice more and we made love too. I loved her. She was best friend, she was my savior and as it happened she became pregnant with my child too. She was happy for us. But again it was not meant to be. My father found out and captured her. I tried to save her from him. My wolf took control and I blacked out in rage."

She looked like she was going to be sick but she wanted to be with him. She wanted to. She squeezed his arm tightly. "When my rage ended. I saw the massacre I had made and I saw nothing but mangled bodies almost impossible to recognize. Among them was his too. I killed him and the sick thing is I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the blood lust.

And I was still in haze I didn't even realized what I have done. What I have lost that day. I have killed her my mother and my... My Eva... And my... my" he broke down again.... His eyes red and puffy. "I killed him. I killed our son My little Victor."

Paige hugged him tightly. "SO tell me little mate am I not a monster? Am I a good person? Am I good person? Do I deserve to have a happy ending? A fairytale romance? Do I? I am just a person with cold and dark heart? Don't I have a chance to embrace the light?" Ronan asked. "You deserve everything in this damn cruel world Ron you are not a monster" Paige said kissing his forehead.

She meant it with heart. She meant every word she said. She was going to mend him. She wanted to. "Don't worry little mate I got you and I am not letting you go ever again" Paige promised silently to herself.
