Chapter 27

Paige felt worst kind of pain that cannot be healed. She felt burning hollowness where her heart should be. The tears escaped her eyes but she refused to show weakness.

She headed for the training grounds and without thinking twice she begin to punch the tree trunk with her bare hands.

She let her wolf take over and put all that was in her punches. The trunk cracked and wood splinters stuck in her hands. She wanted to feel physical pain anything that can let her get rid of this emotional pain.

Anything that can stop the pain and help her focus. She focused all her attention on kicking the tree trunk.

Blood dripped from her legs and knuckles but she didn't stopped. She didn't wanted to. She wanted to shut up every emotion. Sometime she wished to be a vampire so that she could have turned off her human side.

But as she was a werewolf she cannot do this.

Suddenly someone held her hand and stopped her in doing something drastic in her mad rage. Not to mention her hand that was previously injured was throbbing because of her assault. Xander held her hand. She growled her eyes black as night.

"Calm Down Paige" He said using his alpha tone. She growled lowly pulling her hand from his.

"Don't touch me" She said in a low voice. She walked to another area and started throwing knives at the target that was set. She did not cared if she holding the knife right or she can get burned by slight touch of it.

Infact she loved how it burned it on her skin. She used to it, infact there was a time when she had done it purposefully.

Silver was like a drug to her. And she was addict. An old addiction that she cannot let go. She liked it. She liked how it burned her skin. The sizzle the pain all are there.

She felt strangely high on pain and laughed hysterically. He had done it now. He had bring out the old her. He had broken her beyond repair.

Some held her in his arms and she threw punches hysterically.

"Calm down Paige" Ronan said. He was frantic when he heard Xander say that his mate has gone hysterical. She was hurting herself on purpose. He looked at her hysterical self. She was pretty shaken up. And she had a swollen hand and lots of scrates and wounds over her body. Burns from silver too.

"Leave me, leave me at once" She screamed as he pinned her down to his bed. "Calm down little mate" he said softly. That made her snap.

"I am no mate of yours" She hissed. Ronan was livid and didn't know what to do. His wolf was on verge of taking over.

"Calm down Paige" He said again with his authoritative voice. "Or what you will hit me? Go on alpha it is not like I have never been hit, burned or broken before it was like my daily routine. I like it I like the pain" Ronan was taken aback by her behavior.

"I...I will never hit you. You are my mate" He said.

Paige laughed a little more. "All are the same. They say they love you and then they show their true colors. Go on and hit me I will be greatful for the pain. I will be greatful to you for hitting me. Go on and show me how you are a man, how you are an alpha and I have no right to question you about anything. I will not question you. I will follow your orders like a good submissive" She kept on blabbring.

Ronan suddenly captured her lips and kissed her hard. She stopped struggling and tears continued to escape from her eyes. She felt defeated so she surrendered herself to him. She cannot fight back. She was too weak. She was too weak to fight it. She was too weak always was always will be.

Ronan pulled back and softly wiped her tears. "Don't cry princess. I am sorry. I am so sorry. It was my fault. All was going well and then I messed it up. But I swear Paige I really Love you. I do. I always had. Even when I thought I didn't. Even when I pushed you away. And if you are still in doubt that it is only the mate bond. It is not Paige. It never was. I love you for all reason and being your mate is not one of them"

Paige thrashed in his hold not wanting to believe any word he was saying. "Please Paige stop you are hurting yourself. Please I am begging you I lost her I cannot lose you too" He said softly.

"Well she is here with you I don't think you need me anymore. No one needs me or wants me and I know where I am not wanted easily." She said defeatedly trying to sit up.

He kept on holding her. "I need you. I will always need you. I love you. And nothing you say can ever change that fact. I do and I cannot help it. I have to protect you for you are my second chance of the happy life. You are my second chance mate."

Paige tried to sit up again. She wanted to understand it. She wanted to know. "Who was your first mate?" She asked hesitantly.

"Her name was Christy she was also a Rogue. It was after I met Sista and she was about to leave our little Rogue pack. I found her running from something. And I saved her. She was all alone and so small but she was the beautiful little thing" He said.

"Christy have the eyes that were the bluest you ever seen and she always seem to smile. She made my cold and dead heart beat. She brought me out of my shell. She made me get over my grief and loss. And she crept into my heart. I used to laugh a lot. I used to. She was the reason for that. Like I have found my reason now" Ronan looked at Paige and smiled.

"What happened?" Paige asked. "on the night I was supposed to be announce her as Luna she got kidnapped by Kyle and hunters. Since we were bound by Blood bond I felt it. Every assult like my own. She bled and I bled too. She was torture to the limits. I can hear her cry every night. I can feel her pain burning through me. But I have to save my sista too. So I did managed to get here. And that was the day she died."

Paige gasped. "Then how are you..." "Alive?" He asked. She nodded. "It was because of Amy. Amara my little sister have power of healing. She healed me with her powers when I was in coma. She almost drained out of her energy and she could have died but she somehow managed to break the bond and I was saved." He stroked her hairs softly.

"Sorry little mate"
