Chapter 19

Paige decided to make dinner for Ronan as a thank you for the wonderful day. She asked Destiny's help and she was more than happy.

So they spent rest of their times knowing each other and talking about random things while they cooked for their mates. "You know at initial days even when he was tired he used to cook for me. He said he wanted to take care of me." Destiny said sharing her memories.

"Can Ronan cook?" She asked. "Nope he cannot and trust me when I say this if you don't want to use the fire extinguisher you will keep him out of the kitchen" Destiny said while Paige looked at her horrified. "You think so highly of me sista" Both of their head snapped at the direction of voice.

Ronan was walking with Xander towards them. Xander pulled Destiny in his arms and placed a sweet kiss on her lips. Ronan looked at Paige longingly. He was quite uncomfortable with the PDA his sister and his mate was showing. Paige looked at him and softly kissed his cheek. That surprised him.

"We have cooked for you" Paige said softly. "Thank you for having me for dinner Miss Morgan." He said in her ear making her blush.

Maybe I actually have you for dinner later or you may prefer the dessert mate

Her wolf Luna said in Paige's head. Paige was shocked to hear her wolf. She didn't responded to Paige since so long. Only she gives her strength when she fights. Otherwise she was silent for most of the time. "Are you alright little mate?" Ronan asked Paige.

She nodded. They chat during dinner with her wolf giving inappropriate comment time to time. It almost made her choke on her food once. Thankfully Ronan noticed and helped her. After dinner Ronan excused himself from them. He didn't wanted to see her more than necessary. It was only make him mark her and lose the progress he had with her.

"I must go" Paige said getting up. "Sure you need any assistance reaching to the academy?" Xander asked. She shook the head in a no. He nodded and they saw her off to the gates. She continued her journey along the forest line. She was keeping track of the surrounding all around her.

Suddenly she saw some movements and decided to follow it. And then out of nowhere a large wolf made its way towards her. She didn't have any weapon at her. But she knew she is not giving up without a fight.

The wolf lunged and attacked her. She side stepped and he landed right behind him. She turned swiftly. And then she side stepped again.

She knew she cannot go on if she cannot shift so she tried to run. But somehow her legs felt like giving up. A surge of pain spread all over her. She realized what was happening. She was in heat. She cried falling down. The burning intensified. She saw the Rogue shift his eyes black as night.

"I was sent here to kill you but that does not mean I cannot have some fun first." She trashed as he ripped her shirt. She bit him and tried to run. He held her ankle tossing her on the ground like a twig.

Pain erupted from her back and a sickening crunch followed. She cried as the pain intensified his claws slicing her abdomen. Blood poured out as the rogue let an animalistic howl.

He slowly decent his mouth over her neck. His canines ready to mark her. Suddenly he was pulled off her. Ronan effortlessly snapped his neck and covered her bloodied body in his shirt. He can smell her heat and it was driving him crazy. Ronan looked at his whimpering form.

He ran towards his room not stopping anywhere. He locked the room beside him. He then placed Paige over the bed not caring about the blood seeping through the sheets. "Paige you need to shift in order to heal" He said sternly as he tried to clean her wounds to stop the bleeding.

"Paige you need to Shift. Please I am begging you I cannot loose you too." Paige's eyes water. "I...I can't. I can't shift into my wolf. I can't please." She cried as she coughed up some blood.

He mind linked Xander and Destiny and told him to call the pack doctor as fast as they can. Minutes later the doctors bust through the door and tired to keep her calm. But being an werewolf they were too effected by the heat. Ronan can sense that.

The doctor gave nurse instruction and then ran out of the room. He knew the wrath of the alpha. And he does not want to fall victim to it. The nurse tried to patch her up best she can. But the bleeding don't seeze to stop. She cleaned the wound.

"It is silver Alpha I cleaned it traces but I am afraid only way she can be healed if she shifts into her wolf." Ronan looked at his mate painfully. He can feel the pain getting into him too. The effect of blood bond was showing. Ronan was feeling weak and disoriented as if the life itself was ripping out of him.

"No She said she cannot shift" Ronan fell down and grunted in pain. The nurse helped him to his couch. "I am afraid alpha Silver will posion her if she didn't shifted into her wolf now and if she refused we have to make her shift forcefully." Ronan's eyes widen. He don't want his mate to go through same pain he had.

"I don't want you to break her bone and force her into shifting" Ronan clutched his stomach "Fuck" He cursed as his abdomen lined with blood. "There is no need if someone higher ranker orders her she will shift automatically. Maybe Luna Queen or Alpha king can do the trick"

Xander and Destiny entered the room. Destiny looked at Them and a cry escaped her throat. "Ron no... Ron please" She ran to her brother's aid. "Ronan" Xander's eyes turned dark but he was good at controlling it.

"Xander p...please make h..her shift. She will not listen to m...me. P...please m...make h...her shift now" he said.

Xander's eyes snapped at the pale looking girl and he let his wolf took over. His eyes turned pitch black. And he focused all his attention to her wolf. With the most deep and menacing voice of the Alpha king inside him He uttered the word

"Shift"
