"Good question Kara," the voice trailed beside me in my stationary fall,"And it is not one I can answer for sure. Not yet at least, for I'm not finished with you yet, no not for a long time yet." The voice slowly fades from my ears, the spiraling fall slows. All I can see is the shimmering gossamer material surrounding and flowing around me.
"Who are you?" I shout, suspended on air, yet my wings stayed folded.
"I am a start and I am an end. Some may think they fall prey to Chance or to Fortune but they work for me. I am a Creator, that's right, a, singular, one. For I am Fate."
"What?" I gasp breathlessly.
"Yes Kara, most of the things thrown in your path where there because of me."
My mind struggles to come to terms with the knowledge as colors shift and swirl through the material surrounding me,"Most?"
I could feel her grin,"How you and some of the others react is out of my hands."
"So we are your play things?"
"No Kara. You are my characters, I have put so much into this, and so much more will have to go into this for any ending to come. Now, I have to go, Karma is refusing to do anything. Good bye."
The gossamer material fades away and I wander back into the library where I fall asleep reading a book.********
Sorry about the short chapter. I promise I will post at least one more chapter today.
Alsi, would you guys like to have one day of the week that I either post a fairly long chapter, or two in the same day? Like say Tuesdays could be two chapters Tuesday or something like that.
I leave it up to you guys, comment if you are okay with the current update thing, me trying for at least once a week, or if you want me to switch to the idea I put before.
I hope you all are enjoying the story!
