A Favor

"Like I'm going to believe that."
Hestia frowned again,"Well, a small ish favor then."
"What is it?" Apollo sighed.
"Oh, you'll help then?"
"Tell me what you want first."
"Fine, I have an... acquaintance, who needs to cross, you always are helpful to those who want to cross."
"Depends on who it is."
The odd man grinned again,"Oh, I think you might want to help, seeing as you are a fallen star as well."
"Let me talk to Artimes and... Aquarius."
"Not me though?"
"Kara, stop, for now this doesn't consern you."
"I would think that who I am traveling with would concern me, even if nothing else did."
"You should know me Kara." the man said, stepping forwards,"After all your entire village knows me."
"No, I'm pretty sure I..." my mind reeled trying to comprehend what he had said as the words sunck in,"Oh."
"You should know by now that almost anything can be in this world."
"What do you mean this world?"
"Okay, that's enough." Apollo shouted stepping between me and the man who couldn't be who he seemed to be.
"No, not yet. The Gate, as it is so eloquently called is in fact an interdimensional gateway. The White Desert is a parallel dimension, in a way."
"Wait, are you Polaris?"
"Yes, I thought we had established that."
"Yeah okay, so you are literally a myth, I have gone insane." I say, sitting down.
"Does she do this often? If she does can we leave her behind somewhere?"
"I might be insane but I can still hear you."
"We have gone over this, you aren't insane. Well at least not yet."
"Right, then I'm not talking to Polaris, the Guide."
"No, you are talking to Polaris."
"Right. Well then Polaris, if you are who you claim to be, you are supposed to be a Guide why can't you cross on your own?"
"Kara..." Apollo hissed, as though I was entering dangerous territory.
"Will you help me?" Polaris asked, his once patient voice wearing thin, nearing a growl.
"One moment please. Kara, hush." I glowered at Apollo but choose to let him speak. After consulting Artimes and Aquarius he turned to Polaris,"We'll help you." before I could express my opinion Apollo added,"I know Kara, but you are out voted even if you were against it." I growled at him.
"Thank you Apollo." Hestia sighed, "Really."
"Don't, thank me yet." Apollo growled, then turning to me and Polaris,"I suggest that whatever, problem you two have with each other is resolved, quickly. Now come on, we need to keep going."
With a glance towards Polaris I sheath my sword and follow Apollo, beliving that Polaris and I would be able to tolerate one another, despite him irritating me for apparent or particular reason.
