After I could see again the shadows had disappeared and I was alone. I slowly sat up, the clearing I was in was devoid of snow or any sign of the battle that had occured. I stood slowly, only then did I notice the dress I was wearing, or that my normal clothes and bag were missing.
The sun shown down on the meadow and the bird song almost covered the soft fall of footsteps from behind me. I whipped arround, the skirt of the dress flaring as I spun.
A tall something approached ne, radiating light, "Greetings Kara," this strange being had a femine voice with an almost song like quality.
"Hey, yeah nice to see you. Who are you?"
"That isn't important right now."
"Okay then, how do you know my name?"
All I got in response was a smile, "That is not important right now."
"Well then what is important right now?!" I screamed at her.
She smiled again,"You. Well more specifically your weapon."
I opened my mouth in a small O, finally understanding, "Now, do you have any preferences?"
"Ummmm... I don't think so..."
This earned another grin, "Okay,  I'll pick then. With your best interests in mind of course." She replied, sounding thrilled at the idea.
"Hmm... defiantly not a bow, no mace or spear either. Oh! I know!" she presented me with a intercity decorated scabard, I stared at the empty scabard, brow furrowed, "Here." She added, handing me a sword.
The rapier she handed me had a simple blade with an intricately decorated hilt with some sort of gem attracted to the pommel. I experimently thrust the sword forwards, slashing at the air, "Perfect. Now, before you go back a word of advise, be careful who you trust here, you may never know for sure who all is freind or foe. Good bye Kara."
I barley had time to hear get words before the meadow began to fade.

"Hey! She's awake!" Artimes called.
"Finally!" Apollo replied, dropping some gold glowing thing that had been surrounding us, sweat dripping down his arms, "I think they all left, so what did you get?" he questioned.
"Oh, I got a sword." I find the scabard belted around my waist and draw the cruel looking blade. A single shadow emerges from the trees, without thinking I dash forwards, plunging the rapier into the its chest and watching in awe as it breaks under the point of my sword, falling, broken.
"Beautiful, isn't it. Destruction that is."
Aquarius remarked, appearing beside me.
"Hmmmm, oh yeah, I guess so." he simply gave me a wolfish grin in reply.
