2016 ― Tree Hill, North Carolina

Two new siblings started at Tree Hill. Their names were Anna and Felix Taggaro. They were twins. Everyone at the school knows that Nathan and Logan are at the top of the twins' chain because the whole school doesn't need to know what Dan Scott did when they were babies. However, Logan feels bad that Brooke still doesn't know the truth, and she knows it's going to make Brooke feel horrible that she was the last one to find out.

They had this fun night called Dare Night, it was guys vs girls and the girls won. Logan had a lot of fun, but she still doesn't trust the siblings, especially Felix, because she always sees him flirting with Brooke, and Anna is with Lucas a lot.

Now Logan and Peyton were at Brooke's house. When they walked inside of her bedroom, she was painting her toenails. "Hey, Brooke," Logan greeted her. When Brooke lifted her head, Logan frowned when she saw the tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Peyton asked.

"I just keep screwing up this toe," Brooke said. She hung her head and started crying. Peyton and Logan exchanged the same shocked glances. What was going on?

"Brooke," The girls said at the same time.

"You know I told you both my credit card got declined at Haley's bridal shower because the bill got paid late?" She asked and they nodded. "It's a load of crap," She said. The girls frowned and sat down on either side of Brooke. Logan wrapped her arms around her friend.

"So what really happened?" Logan asked.

"I'm broke. My dad's company went under and... doing this stupid bankruptcy thing and my mom's telling me we might have to sell the house," Brooke said. Logan frowned as she gently squeezed Brooke.

"Brooke, I'm so sorry," Peyton said.

"Yeah, me too. I love being rich, I'm good at it," Brooke said. Logan gave her a sad smile because it was sad. No one wants to hear that their parent had to file for bankruptcy.

"So, is that why Felix is getting under your skin? Because he's the rich guy next door?" Logan asked.

"I don't know, maybe," She said.

"Brooke, it's just money. You know, there is so much more to you than that," Peyton said and Logan nodded. Nobody should be defined by how much money they have.

"Yeah, but that's my favorite part... I don't wanna talk about it anymore. How was your meeting?" Brooke asked Peyton. She had a meeting with a club owner about doing an all-ages night. Logan thought that would be pretty cool.

"It's not going to work out," Peyton said as she shook her head.

"Really?" Logan asked.

"I'm sorry," Brooke said.

"Yeah. Me too," Peyton said and Logan frowned. Then she sighed as she looked at Brooke.

"Well, since we're confessing things. Brooke, there's something I have to tell you," Logan said. Brooke looked up from painting her toes and turned to Logan.

"Is everything okay?" She asked and Logan nodded. It's been nearly two months since she found out and although it's still crazy what happened, she has processed it some more. And by process, she's been binging and purging.

"So I'm really sorry for telling you so late. I found out nearly two months ago, but it's been really hard to process and deal with... Um, Nathan isn't my twin brother... and before you ask me how that's possible, Dan took me from Karen when Nathan was born... three months after Lucas and I were born," Logan said and Brooke's eyes widened.
