Thankfully, when the doctors called Cheryl into her Nanas room, they told her everything was going to be fine. She breathed a heavy sigh of relief, and after a brief chat with her grandma, she went back home.

In relation to her situation,  doctors also told the serpents that Sweet Pea was going to struggle for the first few weeks due to the stab would on his arm, but eventually things should go back to normal.

The weekend was stressful for both the girls, praying that their loved ones recovery will be as smooth as possible. Despite their worries, they carried on with their weekends.

Although; Cheryl couldn't stop replaying her heartfelt moment with Toni. It was one of the first times someone had actually cared about her, especially at a time where she had never felt more alone. The short, but sweet moment played in her head all weekend and on Monday morning she realised she would have to see Toni again, but in a completely different situation. Cheryl always had to be tough, and have a heart of ice at school, but something about Toni made her melt. It was probably nothing, she thought to herself, just someone showing a bit of compassion in a time of need and with that, she headed to school.

Arriving earlier than usual was Toni and Fangs, who had struggled to get some sleep over the past two days. The friends separate and make their ways to class. Cheryl spots Toni from the other side of the hall and heads her way, overthinking a Thank You message in her head. Just before she reaches her, she is stopped dead in her tracks by Kevin, who asks, "Cheryl, are you still after the lead role in the play?".

Cheryl forced herself to switch her attention to Kevin's question, "Of course Kevin, why would you think differently?" in her usual Cheryl tone and gestures her hand to make him move out the way as she collects herself again, hoping to catch Toni before the bell rings. Her feet pick up speed as her eyes catch the pink haired girl, bantering with a fellow serpent.

Despite Cheryl's best efforts, Toni slips away through the class door and takes a seat. She sighs but confidently picks her head up and walks to her own lesson, hoping to possibly catch Toni after school.
