After a long breakfast and silence, the gang collect themselves, Veronica trying to sort everything out.
"Cheryl if it's your uncle, your family then we have to call the police" she tells her.
"V, c'mon they wouldn't believe us, why would they" Cheryl replies, Jug nodding.
"She's right. If we're going to do this, we do it ourselves" he says to Cheryl.
All of a sudden Toni's phone rings, "Hey Tons, it wasn't reported but its not there" Peas voice echoes on speaker phone as Toni hangs up, then throwing it against the doors where the note it painted. It smashes.
Out the corner of his eye, Archie notices a spot of grey. Without a moments notice he pushes open the doors and runs around the side, "Guys, it's here. The bikes here" he states, as everyone runs after him.
"I'm going. They're going to get what's coming" as Toni hops on the bike, keys still in the engine and rides off hastily. "TONI" they all yell, but it was hopeless, nothing was going to stop her.
Cheryl looks at Veronica, "everyone grab the stuff, we're going with her" V tells the remaining ones. They nod and rush off inside, Betty hobbling as her foot was still in pain.
The duo hop in V's car and spin off down the road, knowing Toni was already going to be miles ahead. Veronica steps on it.
Only a few miles from Thistlehouse, Toni's head races with thought. How could they? Why was it so similar to her life? What was her plan? Why? but nothing was halting her. A good ten minutes later she roughly pulls up onto the drive, practically throwing the motorbike to the ground in anger.
She knocks aggressively on the door, Nana Rose wheels over to the door and opens it. Toni, ready to lash out, realises it's Cheryl's more understanding grandma and backs down.
"Morning Nana Rose" she says politely. "Come in dear" the old woman tells Toni, welcoming her. Reluctantly Toni walks in and takes a seat on the couch. "They're not here my dear, they left late last night. I must say it was very odd"
Toni sits, head in hands, "I knew it... thank you Nana Rose, but I've got to go now" and rushes out the door but falls when leaving, cutting her hands, arms and face on the stones. The usually tough serpent breaks down, crying in the drive, knowing she's unable to help Cheryl.
Cheryl and V pull up, her girlfriend jumping out the car and up to her, to see her crying. "Tons-- Tons-- what happened?"
"They're gone, I'm---" and punches the small rocks aggressively. Cheryl helps her up off the floor and into the back of the car until they make it to the trailer park.
She helps a shaking Toni back out of the car, thanking V, "I'll catch you guys later"
They make it inside. Cheryl grabs them both some water and she sits next to her. "Toni, you can't put any of this on you----" but is interrupted.
The weak door barges open, cracking a picture on the wall behind it. Cheryl's red haired, evil mother and strange uncle stand in the doorway, maintaining eye contact. The girls sit in complete horror as the door behind them closes slowly.
Wiping her tears off her face, Toni stands defensively. "What the fuck, are you doing here?" she questions.
"Oh dear Claudius the girl asks a good question. What are we doing? You've stormed into our home, and now you're on the receiving end" walking into the kitchen.
"But we didn't write a threatening note on a lake house door" as the insensitive adults chuckle, "a group of scared kids, nothing more enjoyable"
"What do you even want mother?" Cheryl blurts out. "I want this ridiculous thing, over. Over. The sisters would've sorted this by now" Penelope replies.
"Think we should send you both there, get some help yourselves, you're fucking insane" the pink haired girl says facing Uncle Claudius. "And this thing--- doesn't matter" Toni pauses mid sentence.
"You sent something here, to our home, a death threat. And then to our friends. You're crazy" Toni says.
"Our home?" the Blossom women say in sync.
"Course" Toni says, looking lovingly at Cheryl and Penelope looks away. "I suggest you get out, now"
The adults leave swiftly, knowing they've managed to make their point clear. "This 'relationship' better be over soon, otherwise worse will follow soon" Penelope finishes with.
"You get it?" Toni asks, as Cheryl holds up a recording, "Wouldn't miss a chance like that to put them under" as the girls kiss.
Off to the station we go then...
