Chapter 4: New Friends Unsure Future

Shino's POV (Flashback):

It was a day like any other, we weren't on a mission and so we were heading into the forest to train like we always did on our day off. It didn't matter that the war was over and our world at peace. Just because the war united our lands and ended the long feud, that didn't mean that there wasn't bad people in the world who would do anything to disrupt our hard fought peace. 

We were training when, when suddenly I heard a gasp from Hinata. I turned quickly to see what caused this response from her, but I saw nothing except that her Byakugan was activated. This didn't surprise me as she often trained to improve her visual prowess. Before I could ask her what was the matter, the wind suddenly picked up and I heard a howl from Akamaru and Kiba. The three of them looked at each other, nodded and dashed off into the forest. I sighed and followed, left out of the loop again. 

I finally caught up to where they stopped running and after catching my breath I asked what on earth that was about. They didn't answer, so I followed their eyes to where they were looking and I saw what had made them take off like that. I realized that the forest in this area was destroyed with trees broken in half and broken branches laying everywhere. Among this chaos was a crater with a trench leading into it. In the center of this crater lay a girl. Carefully we made our way down into the crater, Hinata still using her Byakugan to make sure this wasn't a trap. When we came to the girl we saw that she was about our age, she had long blonde hair and was beautiful except for the dirt and blood. She was wearing a fancy Kimono which was tattered and burned, but there was no evidence of fire anywhere in this area. We made the decision to bring her to the hospital and report our findings to the Hokage. Afterwards we went home and didn't train for a couple of days. 

That was when we were approached by Sayuri. She said that the girl we found had no memory of who she was, where she came from or how she came to be injured. Sayuri wanted our help to try and regain the mystery girl's memory. We agreed to this, only to later be given an official order by the Hokage to do this very thing. However we were also instructed to take precautions should she turn out to be an enemy. 

So that is how we came to be at the hospital to escort this girl around the village.
