Chapter 17: Fear

Shino's POV:

Yamanaka Clan member: "Get out of my way or I will kill you all too! She's an Ōtsutsuki!

Ōtsutsuki..... The name rang in my mind over and over, and the implications of what that name meant. No.... Not her she couldn't be.... Yet the more I thought of it the more the pieces fell into place.

We found her in a crater, as though she fell from the sky. She was wearing an all white kimono with sage symbols when we found her. Plus her power was immense according to Kiba and Akamaru.

Yet she didn't look like the Ōtsutsuki described by Team 7 when they faced off alone while we were in the genjutsu of the Ninja war. She had no byakugan or sharingan. She had no horns either. She had blonde hair not white, however when she remembered her past in the forest her hair did turn white.

I was so lost in thought that I narrowly missed an attack by the Yamanaka clan member. I countered his attack and held him back with Rock Lee, Naruto and Sayuri while the other ninjas talked excitedly. Soon others went on the offensive with the Yamanaka man.

Yamanaka clan member: "The Ōtsutsuki clan are nothing but demons! She has to die or none of us will be safe!"

Attacking ninjas: "He's right! Let's get her!"

Their words infuriated me. I knew what Kaguya did to the world was cruel and because of her son's plan many ninjas were killed but that didn't mean Andromeda was evil.

Then above the chaos came the strong clear voice of Lord Hokage. His voice was enough to silence them and halt the fighting.

Kakashi: "Stop this fighting at once, we are all shinobi of the hidden leaf. We are not each other's enemy."

Ninja: "Lord Hokage we must destroy her, she is an Ōtsutsuki. Their clan has shaken our world to its core, we just gained peace we can't risk it."

Kakashi: "You're right. That clan has caused irreparable damage, but we can't just kill her without getting information."

Ninjas: "What do you mean?"

Kakashi: "If the clan is planning another attack she will know about it. There could be others right under our noses, she looks nothing like Kaguya so others may be disguised too. We will decide what to do after we get all the information we need by any means necessary."

No. Did he mean.... I couldn't let that happen but before I could intervene Sayuri did. I was thankful as I still wasn't fully recovered. I couldn't believe those words came from Kakashi, I knew he had killed many people but this was different.

Sayuri: "Kakashi, we don't know the whole story. We can't just torture or threaten an innocent girl."

Kakashi: "We will do our best to avoid that option, but I must put the good of the people of Konoha first above any....."

Sayuri: "Go on, say it. Above anyone not from our village. Well I guess it's a good thing I'm not from this village so don't bother protecting me Lord Hokage."
