Chapter 12: Fractured Part One

Andromeda's POV:

As soon as Kakashi disappeared I looked at Sayuri.

Andromeda: "Please take me to him."

Sayuri: "Okay, but I can't promise he will be awake."

The three I mean four of us if you counted Sayuri's dog walked to Shino's room in the hospital. Sayuri entered first with her dog to check on him, then Naruto and I.

Shino was in bed asleep on his stomach, he was under a blanket up to his waist and his strong back was bound in bandages. I gasped at the sight. I did this to him. I caused him this pain.

As I spoke, my voice didn't sound like my own, it was choked and pained as though full of tears.

Andromeda: "No, oh Shino I'm so sorry. If only I hadn't been so desperate to find out who I was, then this wouldn't have happened to you. "

I walked over to the bed and knelt down by it until I was at eye level with his back. My eyes filled with tears and I hesitantly reached out to him but stopped myself short. I feared myself so much that I felt a single touch could break him.

Then I heard a painful voice that was barely a whisper.

Shino: "A-Andromeda."

Andromeda: " Oh Shino, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me for what I did, I wasn't in control of myself."

I couldn't help but cry as I apologized. I didn't know he turned his head to face me as I had my head lowered. Then I felt a gentle hand stroking my hair. I looked up, his head was turned towards me and he was wearing his glasses, he was stroking my hair.

Shino: "Please don't cry over me. I'm not upset with you for what happened, you couldn't have helped it."

He wiped away my tears weakly and I couldn't help but blush and smile at his sweet gesture. Then his hand fell gently and my blood ran cold. I looked over at Sayuri.

Sayuri: "It's okay Andromeda, he is alive. He's just exhausted. I will return later and give him his final treatment. For now we should head over to the interrogation chamber, that is if you're ready."

I nodded, I stroked Shino's hair gently and then rose to leave.

Naruto: "Don't worry Andromeda, Shino is going to be alright. Believe it!"

Shino's POV:

I woke up in my hospital room to see a beautiful face next to mine. Yet that face was marred with teary eyes. This girl remained a mystery to me as much as she was to herself but I knew I didn't like seeing her upset.

Shino: "A-Andromeda."

Andromeda: " Oh Shino, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me for what I did, I wasn't in control of myself."

Shino: "Please don't cry over me.I'm not upset with you for what happened, you couldn't have helped it."

I couldn't say much more after that, I was too exhausted and I felt myself passing out.
