Chapter 23: The Five Kage Summit Part Two

Shino's POV:

I didn't get much sleep that night despite my best efforts. I just couldn't get her face out of my head. All I could think of is how scared and confused she must be, and imagining how horrible they must be treating her.

But why did I even care? She was an Ōtsutsuki after all, her clan tried to destroy our world as we know it. Her people were the masterminds behind the great ninja war and because of them, my friends died.

So why did it hurt to think about her being hurt or killed?

These feelings were just too overwhelming. It was  always easier to hide my feelings and bottle them up, yet no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't hide the pain I felt. Even my insects wouldn't calm down, they had taken a liking to her chakra and how kindly she treated them.

Before I knew it, morning had come. According to Lord Kakashi we were supposed to keep the presence of an Ōtsutsuki quiet in order to prevent panic, so the village was going on with life under the pretense that the Hokage was calling for a summit to negotiate new trade deals. Lord Hokage wanted me in attendance along with Sayuri, Kiba, Hitsugi, Akamaru, Hinata, and Rock Lee so we could give our testimonials concerning our experiences with her. So I geared up and headed to the torture chamber to fight for Andromeda's freedom.

Sayuri's POV:

I rose early and geared up, I would be attending the summit to give my testimonial, as well as escort the Kage. Riding on Hitsugi, I made it to the gate just as all of the Kage arrived with their attendants. 

Sayuri: "Welcome my Lords and Lady,my name is Sayuri and I will be escorting you today."

Temari: "I thought that was Shikamaru's job?"

I sensed the edge of disappointment in her voice, it was known she was seeing Shikamaru and she seemed to make him happy so I smiled warmly at her. 

Sayuri: "I apologize for the disappointment my lady, Shikamaru is currently fulfilling a mission given by Lord Kakashi so I will work in his stead."

Lord Kazekage: "You seem familiar... are you part of the Inuzuka clan?"

Lord Gaara, the man who defeated my Lee in the chunin exams and almost crippled him for life. The man people painted as a monster, he didn't look like a moster though. He looked lonely.

Sayuri: "Half Inuzuka, I'm lord Hokage's little sister that could be how you know me.... or I served as a healer in the Great Ninja War."

Lord Raikage: "So your'e his sister? I wish I could say I see the family resemblance, but you hardly resemble a mask."

I laughed at his remark, if only he knew...

Sayuri: "If you would follow me please, Lord Hokage is waiting for your arrival."

So I led them to the torture chamber where Andromeda was being held per my brother's orders but they soon caught on.

Lord Mizukage: "The Hokage's office is in the other direction, shouldn't we be heading that way?"

Sayuri: "I'm afraid not my lady, this summit is being held elsewhere."

Lord Tsuchikage: "Just where are you taking us exactly?"

Sayuri: "To the torture Chamber/ Interrogation building my lord."

Kage and Attendants: "WHAT?!

Sayuri: "I'm afraid i'm not allowed to divulge any information except that the purpose of the summit lies within."

I could hear them collectively whispering behind me but I ignored it.

All too soon we entered the building, inside among the other ninjas was Kakashi, Ino, Shino, Kiba, Akamaru, Hinata, Naruto, Shikamaru, and my darling Rock Lee.

Kakashi: " Welcome fellow Kage, I apologize for the unorthodox location. However we couldn't meet anywhere but here."

Lord Raikage: "You better have a good reason for calling us here so quickly Lord Hokage."

Kakashi: "I'm afraid I do."
