~Crescent's POV~
I felt a gentle shove against my arm. "Crescent, it's time to wake up." Calum spoke softly.
I rolled over to see him standing above me. I sat up and was thankful that I didn't decide to sleep naked last night. I tried to comb my fingers through my hair, but he stopped me. He held my hand for a few seconds before bringing it to his lips.
"You look beautiful." He smiled.
"Thanks." I smiled and yawned. "what time is it?"
"Ten. I have a great day planned and your sleeping pattern can't ruin it." He laughed.
"Okay, okay." I laughed getting up out of bed and stretching. "I've got to shower first."
"I'll be in the living room." He nodded kissing my cheek before hurrying back out.
I walked to the bathroom listening to the soft padding of Calum's feet as he walked back to the living room. I pulled the shower curtain back a bit so that I could get in the shower. After fully cleaning myself, I grabbed a towel and dried myself off. I walked back to my room and put on a pair of jean shorts, cream sandals, and a cream shirt with sleeves that came to my elbow. I straightened my hair and hurried back out the door, not even bothering with make up.
"So where are we going?" I smiled at Calum as he stood up to walk out with me.
"You'll see." He smirked. I bit my lip out of anticipation and noticed Luke and Scarlet nuzzled up, asleep on the couch. His arm was draped over her, protecting her. Her face was laid against his neck. "He was here when I came in." Calum laughed "I knocked and no one came to the door so I got worried and tried the lock. It was unlocked which worried me even more."
"That's probably my fault. When I got back from your dorm last night I must have forgotten to lock it." I giggled. "oops."
"Oops." Calum laughed, his thick accent very present.
I wrote a quick note and stuck it on the fridge to let Scarlet know we left to go to some mysterious place. (Because Calum still wouldn't tell me.)He held the door open for me and I walked out.
I got in his car and he drove me around a little bit.
"Please tell me where we're going." I whined.
"I said you'll see!" He laughed playfully hitting my arm.
"But I'd rather know now." I stated, smirking.
"I know that." He smiled. "But you're still going to wait."
I rolled my eyes playfully and watched as the scenery went by. We drove through town and finally pulled into an amusement park parking lot.
"Here." He smiled.
I sat there and smiled at him, trying to hide the panic settling in my stomach. Roller coasters. I'm horrified of heights.. "So, how did I do?" He asked shyly.
"Well, I'm not going to lie." I laughed breathlessly "I am very scared of heights."
"Oh. Well, we can go somewhere else?" He sighed.
"No it's fine." I smiled "I can try something new."
"So you've never been on a roller coaster?" He asked surprised.
"No." I laughed nervously.
He just smirked and got out of the car. I started to open my door but Calum ran around the car and beat me to it. I laughed and shook my head as he closed it behind me and grabbed my hand. We walked to the entrance and he handed the worker our tickets. The worker stamped our hands with a star shape and opened the gate so we could enter. Calum pulled up his hoodie over his head.
"I want this day to be about us. Not the day to get bombarded." He smiled. I just smiled and looked down. We went through the fast lane and got on one of the biggest roller coasters. "Scared?" He whispered in my left ear.
"Very." I said barely audible, preparing myself for whatever was about to come.
"Don't be." He smiled slipping my hand into his. "You're okay."
I bit the inside of my cheek as we started moving. The ride went fast surprisingly, and to be honest I kind of enjoyed it.
"Ready for another?" Calum asked.
"Actually I am." I laughed, out of breath.
We ended up riding all of the roller coasters. By the time we had finished the last one, we decided to get dinner inside the park. We sat at a table for two by the window of a burger place. A tall brunette waitress hobbled over to our table in I guess what was supposed to be a strut.
"What can I get you?" She asked Calum, making eyes at him.
Calum ordered and she walked away. "Excuse me?" I laughed.
"What?" She asked, frustrated.
"You didn't take my order." I sighed.
"Oh. You eat? I didn't think anorexics did that." She cackled.
I sniffed slightly remembering when I almost was anorexic. After all of the bullying for my weight, I didn't eat much for seven months. I'd go days on a piece of bread or an apple. "Come on Crescent." Calum growled. I stood up and started to walk out when I heard Calum start cussing out the waitress. The look on her face was priceless. Instead of sitting in and eating, we just got some fries and ice cream cones from a food truck. My trainer at the gym would kill me.
"I bet you that I can win you that big stuffed unicorn over there." Calum smiled pointing at a balloon and dart game.
"I bet you can't." I teased.
"Then the bet is on." He smirked "winner has to kiss the loser."
"Ew. I don't want to kiss you." I teased, wrinkling my nose.
"You know you love it." He smirked.
I shrugged, unable to find an argument. I followed him to the game and watched him try and hit the balloons. He ended up paying for the game five times before he actually won the big unicorn. He turned to me and stuck the unicorn up in front of his face. "Kiss me!" He said in a high pitched voice as he acted like the unicorn was the one talking and dancing.
"You're such a dork." I laughed before pulling the unicorn away and getting up on my tip-toes to give him a gentle kiss on the lips. When I tried to pull away he put his hands around my waist and pulled me closer. He put his lips to my forehead.
"It's getting late." He sighed "I had fun."
"So did I." I smiled.
He carried the unicorn for me back to the car and sat it in the back seat. We sat in silence for most of the car ride home, just enjoying being together. When we got back to my apartment, it was past midnight and Scarlet was already in bed. I wanted to ask Calum to stay with me because I didn't want him to leave. I wanted to know what it would be like to wake you to his comforting voice and smiling face. I decided against it though.
"Drive safe." I whispered, not wanting to wake Scar.
"I will." He smiled putting the unicorn down by the door and wrapping his arms around me. I hugged him back, taking in his scent that has become so normal and wonderful to me.
"I think I might love you, Crescent." He whispered.
"How do you know?" I whispered back, my heart racing. I don't think I love him.. Not this early in our relationship. That's not possible.. Right?
"I get this weird feeling when I'm around you.. Like I can't leave your side ever again. I want to be with you constantly. I can't accept life without you.. I would die for you, Crescent. I think that's love." He whispered slowly.
I pulled away enough to press my lips to his. I felt him smile against my lips. When we pulled apart, I kissed his nose.
"Sleep tight." He smiled before turning away and walking to his car.
"Sleep tight." I said quietly as I shut the door.
