~Scarlet's POV~

Luke and I walked side by side, down the side walk, going out to dinner. His fingers deliberately brushed past mine as we stepped towards this infamous pizza joint. Eventually, I took the chance and intertwined our fingers. "So what do you think about Crescent being pregnant?" Luke broke the peaceful silence.

"It's frightening to say the least. It'll be one of the biggest challenges in their lives. Especially Calum's." I simply shrugged. "But don't you dare get any ideas. Keep your little buddy in your pants and zipped up."

Luke immediately erupted in laughter at my comment, his chest vibrating in happiness. He threw his arm over my shoulder and still continued to laugh, even though I was being serious. "That's rather hard to do when you look the way you do, babe." He smirked, earning a teasingly glare.

"You're such a perv."

"I'm your pervert." Luke dipped down and nibbled on my cheek as if he was trying to eat my face.

"Did you turn into a damn bunny, standing here nibbling on my face?" I joked. He didn't respond as he leaned down to my height and pressed a chaste kiss to my lips. I intertwined our free hands so we were standing in the middle of the busy sidewalk, kissing.

We walked into the restaurant, filled with men in football jerseys, women corralling toddlers, and small families enjoying their meals. "Why are they wearing football jerseys?" Luke's eyes curiously danced across the restaurant as he took in the scenery. "This place is so wicked."

"It's a Friday night so that means there are a bunch of football games going on." I explained. A small smile worked its way onto his face as we walked up to the front desk. There was a (very attractive) guy writing something down in his notepad when we patiently waited for him to finish.
His black hair was laying off to the side of his forehead, his tongue carefully peeking out of the corner of his mouth, concentrating on whatever he was working on. He's pretty tall, not as tall as Luke but pretty dang close. He clicked his pen quickly and looked up to see us standing there.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see you there. How many are going to be dining? And do you want the dining area or sports bar?" He smiled, his teeth peeking through his thin lips. He looked straight at me as he practically stared into my soul. His blue eyes were dull, nowhere near the beauty held within Luke's eyes. Before I could speak, Luke beat me to it.

"Just my girlfriend and I. The dining area." I looked up to see Luke glaring at the poor guy.
The waiter followed behind us towards a table set up next to a family of four, a small baby boy sitting at the end of their table. I swung my hand up and waved towards the baby as he returned a toothless grin and the most delightful laugh. I felt Luke's gaze on me as I interacted with the infant.

"My name is Allan so if you need anything please, come and get me." He softly spoke, the words flowing perfectly out of his mouth. I gave him a small smile and he handed Luke's menu to him. Allan turned towards me and slowly handed me the menu. His hand lingered on the menu, making the air become quite awkward.

Finally, he let go of the menu and walked away. Luke hastily pulled my chair out for me and then walked over to his. His chair was facing the direction where Allan would enter and exit. His thoughtful gaze he had when I was waving at the baby was gone. A frown replacing his adorable smile. "Are you seriously mad at me?" I rolled my eyes; this is pointless.

"I'm not mad at you. You just need to be ugly so other guys won't stare at your ass."

"Thanks for the suggestion Lucas." I spit, my appetite suddenly vanishing. "Next time, I'll look like a homeless man and personally invite guys to stare at my ass. Do you think I care about them?"
Luke's face dropped as I exploded. I didn't want to create a scene and definitely didn't want some idiot posting our low-key argument all over the internet. My voice was hardly above a whisper but I made sure Luke understood my anger, as I harshly spoke.
