~Scarlet's POV~
My heart was about to beat out of my chest as I saw Crescent pass out in Calum's arms, Blake running over to her, and doctors darting into my mom's room. "Mom please pull through." I shrieked. I was starting to lose my voice from all of the sobbing and screaming.
Luke threw his arms around me and slung me over his shoulder. "Let me go!" I cried. I don't want to leave my mother's side. He carried me out to the waiting room to where some spare nurses were putting smelling salts underneath Cress' nose to try and wake her up. "Put me the fuck down." I hissed, sudden anger boiling through my veins.
"I'm just trying to help!" Luke exasprated, his voice cracking at the end. I looked at him the second he put me down, to see the clear desperation drowning his face. His skin was flushed, he looks like he hasn't slept in five hundred years, and don't even start me on his hair. A small gasp of realization fell from within my parted lips.
"Luke, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize how much this was truly effecting you. I feel absolutely shitty and I didn't think of how this was effecting anyone else around me." I gently ran my hands along his face, trying to bring back its normal color. "I'm the worst person ever to not see how much this is hurting the ones I love." I gaped, tears running all over me.
"Babe, if I was in your place, I would be doing the same thing. But no matter what, I will stand by your side and love you even if no one else does." He expressed. He leaned down to my height and began placing soft, chaste kisses along my burning skin.
I heard a bunch of rushed footsteps and I glanced away to see the color draining from dad, Michael and Ashton's faces.
"Is she okay? What's happening?" Dad asked; referring to mom's door being closed.
I shook my head and quickly moved over to him. He stretched his arms out and began sobbing against the top of my head. I wound my arms tightly around his torso and attempted to comfort my 6'4" tall father.
"What's even going on?" We spun around to see Crescent cringing from the smelling salts. Calum practically had a river running down his squishy cheeks and he grabbed ahold of her and rocked her back and forth.
I released my father from my death grip and quickly ran over to Cress. "You passed out." I softly said, wiping the matted hairs from her forehead.
"I don't remember much. Why isn't anyone in the room with Arden?" She pondered aloud. My breathing stopped. Oh no, she doesn't remember the critical condition mom is in. "Will somebody stop staring at me and tell me the damn truth?!" She yelled. You could tell she was getting restless.
"Love, I think you need to lay down before you-" Calum eased into it but Crescent wasn't having it today either.
"I just want someone to tell me what's wrong!" She screamed, tears falling onto her cheekbones. We all fell silent as she quietly sobbed against Cal's chest. "Please." She whimpered. I stood up and walked away, from everything. I speed-walked straight out of the hospital and down the street. I knew where I was going. It was only two miles away from here and it's a straight path.
I heard distant calls coming from behind me, but I completely ignored them and continued my journey.
After about ten minutes, I had arrived. The old picket sign had weeds and small trees growing all around it, as I walked through the rusted gate. Gravel crunched underneath my old chucks, filling the silence ringing through my ears. In general it was a gloomy day, the sun was hidden behind the gray, dreary clouds, and it honestly was chilly. Thank god I wore Crescent's sweatshirt. I would've been freezing right now.
