~Scarlet's POV~

I ran my hand messily through my freshly curled hair, trying to give them the natural look. Well as natural as it could get since I just recently dyed my hair blonde with pink. I know, I never expected to dye my hair such a bizarre color but everyone says it suits me very well. I've wanted to dye my hair ever since I was a freshman in high school. Now here we are, eight years later and I'm graduating college and with dyed hair.

I applied a small amount of foundation and carefully buckled the belt on my wedged heels, completing my look. It's graduation day, holy shit. Not to forget that I'm supposed to give out a speech at the ceremony as well. Literally about to die considering there will be at least one thousand people there.

Oh and there will be paparazzi there outside too. I hate that since I'm dating Luke, people automatically assume I'm always with him. So they feel the need to follow me around to get some dirt, when in reality there isn't any. Perks of dating an international star. The guys won't even be here today. They are back home visiting their families after not seeing them for eight months while being on tour. I can't really blame them but my heart gives off a dull ache at thinking about sharing this special day without him.

As for Crescent, I think she is about to burst because she gets to see her family today as well. She has been running around the apartment like a chicken with its head cut off, excitement taking over. Dad can't make it to my graduation, flights costing too much and of course; his work. Nothing new to me, it's just I wish he could be here.

"We have to leave soon, oh my god!" Cress screamed throughout the apartment. It's quite empty since we have to move out and find our own places, cos we aren't in college anymore. It's rather depressing but it's a new chapter in our lives that I can't wait to see what's in store. Will Luke be with me? Or will it just be Crescent and I again?

As much as I love Crescent, I have lived with her practically my entire life so I am anxious to see whether Luke and I will live together or not. I hope but I would be perfectly fine if I lived with Crescent.

I glanced at my reflection once again, to make sure I'm not forgetting anything of my look. I need to look complete. Not like a mess like I am on in the inside. I quickly grabbed my speech and threw it in my purse before I got the car keys off of my nightstand. I've driven around a lot more lately and it surprises me because I've never been very fond of driving. It took me four years but oh well.

My hand slides over the light switch, immediately sending my room into darkness with the sunlight glowing through the cracks of my blinds. To be honest, I don't know how I'm walking right now. I have some of the worst balance ever and these wedges aren't helping it. I know wedges aren't that bad but these are really tall. Considering the fact I haven't grown since I was in sixth grade, I needed to be taller than this podium I'll be speaking at.

"I'm ready whenever you are." I called throughout the apartment. I could hear Crescent rummaging through the moving boxes, probably trying to find some of her makeup.

"I'm trying to find my lipstick!" She yelled, a loud thump hitting her hardwood flooring.

"Cress, you should've listened to me! If you did, you would've had your makeup out and ready and all you would've had to do is put it in your boxes." I scolded; but I was right. I told her last night that she would probably like to lay all of her things out and then pack them up tomorrow when she was done. But of course, no one listens.

"I'm trying to," she paused. "Aha! I found it! It was stuck between my sweaters and boots." Crescent laughed, her laughter becoming infectious. I let out a breathless laugh and quickly shook my head at her: even though she can't see me. She's insane.
