Jamie & Ross

You had been in your room getting ready to greet the new knight that would be standing by you protecting you everywhere you go so you do not get hurt. You didn't really like the fact that people believed you couldn't handle yourself but you knew there was nothing you could do about it. You were allowed to wear short dresses although they had to be at the knee length or below the knee other than that your dresses had to be long for formal events such as a ball.
Once you were dressed you took a final look at your appearance before smiling at it. You did wear some make up but it had to be natural which this rule you didn't really mind

You heard a knock on your door and you opened it to see one of the guards
"Princess Jamie, your new knight has a arrived" They said
"Thank you for letting me know" you say and they bow before leaving. You start to walk behind him and he brings you to the main room where your throne is and you will meet the new knight. When you arrive you sit on your throne and see a boy with blonde hair and brown eyes come in. You were memorised by him but you didn't show it.
"Good morning Princess Jamie" he had said
"Good morning..." you say and stop not knowing his name
"Ross, Ross Lynch your highness" he said bowing for a few seconds then standing up straight again. You stood up and walked over to him and gave a slight curtsey
"It is a pleasure to meet you Ross" you say
"The pleasure is all mine Princess Jamie" he said and you smiled before going back over to your throne
"You know your job?" You ask
"Yes Princess stand guard at the palace and protect you" He replied before you could say anything a voice interrupted you
"Princess Jamie you must do your daily visit to the village" the grand duke said
"Of course, well Ross here is your first job" you say and he nods. You begin to walk out of the palace and Ross along with three other knights are by your side. Ross beside you and two behind you and one in front of you. When you reach the village you go and talk to a few of the people, the knights step away from you but stay within a shirt distance so you can speak to them properly and also interact with some of the children that come up to you. You love this part of your day it was your favourite as there was no rules you weren't a princess for a short while just someone interacting with the rest of the village. You had some lunch with everyone and then it was time for you to go back to the palace you had curtseyed to them before saying bye and then left. When you got back to the palace it was time for you to practice your waltzing. You had done this every other day since a formal event can come up at any time.
You had not done much after that you were had taken a walk through the gardens which you find peaceful. You had been in your own thoughts when you bumped into someone you nearly fell but they had caught you before you could fall and helped you gain your balance again. After a moment they let go and you looked to see it was Ross
"I am sorry Princess Jamie" he said
"Oh no it was my fault, I was lost in thought" You reply there was a silence between you two as neither of you knew what to say after a few moments he spoke
"So what brings you out here?" He ask
"I like to come out here and think it's peaceful" you say and he smiles
"What brings you out here?" You ask
"I was sent out to check the gardens" he said
"Do you want to walk around with me?" You ask
"I'd love that Princess Jamie" and you smile. You both continue walking and start to get to know each other more. You ask him how his first day has went and he told you it was amazing. While you are talking you both find out that you have a few things in common making you smile. You both found a bench in the gardens and sat down continue talking and you had found out that he can waltz. He stood up and put his hand out for you to take it.
"May I?" He ask
"There's no music" you say
"Who says you need music to dance" he said and you smile taking his hand.
You both begin dancing and he started to hum a song that you used to dance to when you were younger. He had twirled you away from him and then close again. You both continued dancing for a while until you had seen that it was time to go in for dinner.
"We should get inside, it's time for dinner" you say
"Yes of course Princess Jamie, after you" he replied and you smiled walking ahead of him slightly to go back inside the palace. When you both arrived you had been seated and dinner was served after dinner you had gone to your room and decided to change into your nightgown and put your hair into a ponytail and took off your make up. You were about to go into bed and read a book for a while until you heard a knock on your door. You opened it to see Ross
"Good evening Princess Jamie" he said
"Good evening, please come in" You say and he says thank you.
"Wow you look even more beautiful without make up" he said without thinking
"I'm sorry Princess..I" He said but couldn't find any words
"It is fine and please call me Jamie when it is just us" you say
"Jamie,I came to tell you that I had a lot of fun today" he said
"So did I, i am glad you enjoyed your first day" You say
"I mainly enjoyed spending it with you and if this isn't to forward I was hoping that perhaps I could take you on a date sometime" he said
"Really?" You ask
"Yes, unless it is forbidden for the Princess and one of her knights to date" Ross said
"It's not forbidden, I would love to go out with you Ross" you say and he smiles
"That is great, well I shall see you in the morning Jamie" he said
"See you in the morning" you reply and he kisses your cheek before he leaves. When the door closes you smile and get into bed forgetting that you were going to read a book and fall into a peaceful sleep excited about what it is going to be like to be with Ross
