Chapter Three (Celebration of Old Faces)

        Soon, I was surrounded by old and new friends. Silica and Lisbeth were connected at my hip, not letting me go.

"(Y/N)!! I can't believe it's you!" Lisbeth exclaimed. Silica nodded.

"Yeah! I missed you so much! You were like a big sister to me! Even Pina missed you..." To make her words true, Pina was rubbing up against my cheek, showing its affections and happiness to see me. I smiled at them. Another body joined the group hug.

"(Y/N)!" It was Leafa, Kirito's younger sister.

"Leafa, you too?! Did you all really miss me that much?" I questioned. Sinon approached us and nodded.

"We were all distraught when you suddenly stopped replying to our messages. But... We all understood that you needed your space. After what happened..." She trailed off. I bit my lip and nodded. Lisbeth, Silica and Leafa all let go of me finally. Klein and Agil both came up to us as well.

"(Y/N), it's great to see you again. Be sure to bring me lots of rare items again!" I chuckled and nodded.

"Of course, Agil." Klein stared at me, but following his gaze, I knew exactly where he was staring. A 'tick' mark grew on my forehead and my eyebrow started twitching in anger.

"Where do you think you're staring?!" I yelled at him, slapping the older male across the face.

"Ow! Ow! Yep, you're still the same old (Y/N)!" He exclaimed in pain. I started laughing, tears coming to my eyes. I felt one roll down my cheek. I touched it in surprise.

"Why am I crying? I should be happy..." I mumbled under my breath. I felt a small hand grasp the end of my clothes. I looked down and smiled. It was Yui.

"(Y/N) onee-san? Are you alright?" She asked. I smiled at her and nodded.

"Yeah... these are just tears of joy. I'm happy to be back with everyone." I stated. She smiled back and nodded, going back over to Asuna's side. A girl with long violet hair came up to me. She smiled brightly and held out her hand.

"Hi! I'm Yuuki! I met everyone in ALO!" I smiled back at her and shook her hand.

"I'm (Y/N), an old friend of Kirito and the others." She nodded.

"They used to talk so much about you! I hope we get to fight one another one day. I'd love to see what you're made of!" I nodded.

"Same here." Lisbeth spoke up.

"Kirito. Asuna. Congratulations..." We all chimed in on the last part of the sentence.

"...on winning the tournament!!!"

"Pappa! Momma! Congratulations!" Yui exclaimed. Kirito smiled at her.

"Thanks, Yui. But we're not the ones we're celebrating here today. We should be congratulating and welcoming back (Y/N). She's a newbie in GGO, yet she already got an incredibly rare item!" I smiled and waved at everyone.

"I'm glad to be back, everyone. I'm sorry I just left and didn't say anything." Asuna smiled and shook her head.

"It's alright, (Y/N). We understand. A lot happened back then. It makes perfect sense that you would want your space." I sighed in relief and smiled, happy that I have such understanding friends. Silica walked up to Kureha.

"Wow! You're so pretty, ArFA-sys! I've never seen one of you this close before." Kureha laughed sheepishly and pointed at Hikaru.

"I'm Kureha. THIS is the ArFA-sys." Kureha pointed at Hikaru. Hikaru smiled brightly.
