Hey there! After this chapter things might slow down. This chapter is where I'm at on my writing in Google Drive. So, to make up for it, I tried my hand at giving Kirito some lovin' in this chapter. So be prepared for some Kirito moments ahead! P.S. Our girl won't be a member of his harem :p

Looking around, I quickly spotted the black-haired swordsman.

"Kirito!" I called out to him, however he seemed to be in deep thought. As I approached him, I could hear him mumbling.

"Hmm... I think I can do it, but... Yeah, soloing this one'll be tough." Kirito looked up to me and noticed I was waiting for him.

"Oh, sorry. I was just thinking out loud. I found this hidden quest a bit ago and I've been wanting to give it a try." I raised a brow.

"Don't tell me... you wanted me to play with you so you could do a quest?" I asked, giving him a knowing look. He chuckled nervously.

"The quest description reads: "Hidden in the wastelands is Fortune's End. There, you will find a treasure once worth a king's ransom." I raised a brow.

"A treasure quest? Why didn't you say so? Count me in!" He chuckled.

"Disclaimer! I have zero clue what the reward is gonna be. The description went out of its way to use the past tense, so maybe this treasure WAS worth something, but isn't worth squat anymore." I hummed in thought.

"Hm... Interesting... I wonder what this could be?" He shrugged.

"Who knows? There might be some awesome special event or reward. Even if it's not big bucks, it should be worth checking out." He continued.

"I'd normally just solo it, but this quest area's swarming with enemies. It's also a prime PK spot, so this will be a combat-heavy job." I nodded.

"Yeah, that's alright with me." He smiled.

"I knew you'd say that. This one's just too tempting to pass up, right? So, let's do this!" He exclaimed, making me chuckle from his enthusiasm. We then travelled to where the quest location was taking us. Once we were in the general area, Kirito spoke up.

"Fortune's End should be around here somewhere. Let's get looking." I looked back at him.

"Do you even have a clue on where we should start looking?" I questioned. Kirito rubbed the back of his neck.

"Not really... We don't really have any clues about where this treasure's hidden, so if you see anything suspicious, let me know." I nodded and began looking. I faintly could hear Kirito mumble.

"...This is the sort of situation that makes me wish I learned an exploration skill or two..." I looked up from the spot I was at and stuck my tongue out at him.

"You always stuck to battle and support skills though, Kiri!" I pointed out. He chuckled and nodded. We both began looking all over the place for an item that neither of us knew of. I groaned and threw my hands up in the air.

"We've been at this for half an hour now! At this rate, we're going to get sniped down by enemies." I complained. Kirito looked back to me, but something caught his eye at my feet.

"Wait, hold up... What is that at your feet?" I raised a brow and looked down. The dirt and ivy seemed to be hiding something.

"It's hidden by dirt and ivy, but I think it's an ancient treasure chest!" Kirito exclaimed. He looked back at me and smirked.
