Chapter Thirty-Eight (Entering the SBC Flugel)

        When I got up the following morning, there was a text from Kureha waiting for me.

Hey, (Y/N), when you see this could you let me know? I'll be waiting for you in GGO. I sigh, and respond back. Okay. I take my time getting ready, eating food and hydrating myself. When I'm finally done with my morning routine, I grab my Amusphere and place it on my head.

"Link start."

My eyes open to the ceiling of my apartment in GGO. Hikaru is no where in sight, but I spot a note. Sitting up and getting out of the bed, I walk over to read it.

"Oh, so Hikaru went out with Zeliska and Daisy. That's fine, I guess." I mutter under my breath. My door opens suddenly. I don't have to turn around to know who it is.

"Good morning, Kureha." I greet her.

"Good morning, (Y/N)." There's an awkward silence after that. I decide to speak up.

"Listen-" We both start talking at the same time, Kureha stops and lets me finish.

"Listen, Kureha. I forgive you. It's water under the bridge, alright?" I ask her. She looks at me in genuine confusion.

"I didn't even get to apologize." I laugh and shrug.

"You don't have to, really. I know how hot-headed you can get sometimes. You're a tsundere after all~!" I giggled, teasing her. She flushed up.

"I am not!" I was full on laughing now.

"O-Oh, come on, stop it already! You're embarrassing me..." Kureha hides her flushed face behind her hands. I look at the time. The others should be getting on pretty soon.

"Hey, what do you say about going into the SBC Flugel today with Itsuki and Zeliska?" I asked her. Her eyes widened in excitement.

"I'm in!"

And so after Zeliska returned with Hikaru and Daisy in tow. I managed to find out where Itsuki was and drag him along with us for the ride. We walked through the large metal door just fine without anything stopping us on the way in. I noticed Itsuki glancing at Kureha every now and then. Is he waiting for her to get upset again? I ignored it and looked around the inside of the ship in awe. Hikaru called out once we were inside.

"I'm finally home at last! Woo!" He was super happy. It caused me to smile and laugh with him. Kureha looked around in amazement.

"So this is the inside of the SBC Flugel... This place is huge. It must be about as big as Glocken." Kureha stated in awe. I noticed the amount of players in the area, seems Zeliska did as well.

"There are a lot of other players hanging around here, too. We should be fine since it's a no-PvP zone, but one step outside and anything goes." She noted. Itsuki looked around before settling on Hikaru.

"Some map data on this area would be handy right about now. Hey, ArFA-sys, you got anything that could help us?" He asked Hikaru. Hikaru nodded.

"I can call up the nav system and ask it to give us a map." He then waved into the air.

"Hi, Nav System!" A distorted noise answered him.

"We're here to see my mom. Could you give us a map so that we don't get lost? Also, I want to go ahead and speak to her, so if you could ring her up for me, that'd be great." He asked. The noise came back after he asked it for the map and to speak to his mom. Kureha looked at Hikaru in confusion.
