After awhile, I called it a day and took off back home. I entered my code into my keypad and then unlocked the door with my key. My door has two sets of locks, one is a code, and the other a key. I took my shoes off by the door and then placed my bag down on my couch. Walking into my room, I turned my computer on and plugged in my Amusphere with the intent of going into GGO solo with Hikaru to grind for some levels before the day was over. I laid down on my bed, placing my Amusphere on my head. Closing my eyes, "Link Start!" fell from my lips and I was soon logging into the world of Gun Gale Online once more today.
When I was fully logged in, I found myself in my room. I looked around, not spotting Hikaru anywhere.
"Hikaru?" I called out. I got up from my bed and walked out of my room, entering Glocken. I looked around, calling Hikaru's name now and then. I heard his voice call out for me.
"Master!" I turned in the direction I had heard his voice come from and spotted him and another ArFA-sys unit running with him. He nearly tripped as he ran up to me. When he got to me, he bent down, trying to catch his breath. When he had reclaimed his breath, he smiled excitedly at me.
"Master! I wasn't expecting you to be back today!" I nodded.
"Yeah, neither was I got on to grab you and go grinding for levels. But when I logged in, you weren't in my room. Where'd you go?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.
"I wanted to wander around, but then we forgot which was it was to go!" He exclaimed.
"Unless I'm mistaken, I believe it was you who nearly got lost." She pointed out. She then bowed in greeting like Hikaru does, but more feminine.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Daisy, an ArFA-sys Type-X." She greeted. I smiled and nodded.
"Thank you Daisy for managing to bring Hikaru back to me." Before she could reply, another voice cut in.
"Hey now, don't just go running off, you two. It's too dangerous around here." A woman, who I would assume was Daisy's master, came up to us. She had platinum blonde hair and red eyes. Her royal purple suit almost made her look like royalty. Daisy raised her hand to her chest.
"Rest assured, Master, my exercise routine values are set within safe parameters. At this speed, I anticipate no collisions or falls to occur whatsoever. You needn't worry about me." Hikaru suddenly gasped, slightly glaring at Daisy's master. I glanced over at him in confusion. Daisy's master raised her hand and brushed Daisy's cheek.
"Well, there's another sort of danger that cuties like you can run into, as well, you know. So for the time being, I don't want you leaving my side. Understood?" Daisy nodded.
"Yes, Master. Understood." She then looked to me.
"Excuse me. Does that ArFA-sys over there, ah... belong to you, by any chance?" She asked. I nodded.
"Yes, he is. I was offline and came back to see that he wasn't in my room. I came looking for him and ran into him and Daisy." I told her. She smiled.
"I noticed it's a Type-X, just like my own Daisy. Those are really rare, you know. Virtually everybody in GGO's got their eyes on them." I laughed and nodded.
"Yeah, that's very true. Earlier I was nearly swarmed by players trying to buy Hikaru off of me." I sighed. She chuckled.
"I've heard rumors about you. Apparently Lady Luck's taken a real shine to you, despite you being so new to the game. But, you know what they say: all good things must come to an end. If you don't watch your step, someone might just walk away with your ArFA-sys. Not much is publicly known about them, especially the Type-Xs, but I will say there are multiple ways for them to "change hands" here, just like any other item in GGO." She stated. I frowned at her words. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought she was threatening me.
