Keeping this short and simple for y'all. Sorry this one took so long to get out once again. I've been dealing with school, etc. I'm on break right now and wanted to push out an update for you guys to read while you're (maybe) on break!
I was in front of my apartment, Kirito was getting ready to take off back home when I stopped him.
"Um, hey, Kirito?" He looked up at me.
"Do you remember how I met everyone?" I asked. Kirito chuckled and nodded.
"Yeah, we were on the fifth floor boss. It was the first time your guild had helped out on the frontlines. What about it?" He asked. I shook my head.
"It's nothing. I just couldn't remember, for some reason." I explained. He looked at me in concern.
"Make sure you call me in the morning, I'll let you know if we're going to be in ALO or not then. I hope you feel better." I nodded and waved him off. I entered my apartment, placing my bag down. I took my shoes off and headed to my room. I continued to try and hold onto my memories, but they just kept slipping for some reason. I sighed and shook my head, blaming it on feeling tired at the moment.
"Sleep should help." Sleep did not help.
It was dark. I recognized this place. It was the forest where Laughing Coffin ambushed us. It was like watching my friends die over and over again. I couldn't help falling to the ground, grasping my head.
"You were a strong warrior once, now it is time for death to claim you." I looked up. It was the one who orchestrated the attack. Fear was sinking into my being. I felt like I was going to die. His estoc was aimed at me, however before he could kill me, Asuna and Kirito arrived, like in my memories. Their faces were blurred, scarring me even more. Everything began to blur around me, falling away into nothingness.
I screamed when I woke up. I felt a bead of sweat roll down my head. Calming my breathing, I wiped it away. Looking over at the time, I noticed it was only about two in the morning. I groaned and leaned back into my pillow. Turning over, I spotted my Amusphere on the desk. I sighed, sitting up and grabbing it. I plugged in ALO.
"Link start."
When I arrived at Asuna and Kirito's home, Asuna and Kirito had both been up. I looked at them in surprise.
"Oh, what are you two doing up still?" I asked. Asuna looked over at me in concern.
"I could ask the same about you, is everything alright, (Y/N)?" She asked. I looked around. I could remember when I first logged into ALO and seeing this place. However, I couldn't remember if I've ever been here in SAO. I looked at Kirito.
"Have I been here before? In SAO, I mean?" He nodded.
"Yeah, you've been here many times. Is something wrong, (Y/N)?" I frowned.
"What floor was my guildhall on?" I asked. They gasped.
"Your guildhall was on Floor 35. Do you want to see it?" Asuna asked me. I nodded.
"Yeah." We left their home and traveled to Floor 35. As we walked through the town, nothing was familiar to me here either. We stopped in front of a building.
"Was this it?" I asked. Asuna nodded. We entered. I had hoped that seeing the place where my friends and I had once enjoyed each other's company, would make me remember something. Instead, my mind was blank, like a fog covered it. I couldn't even remember what floor they were killed on. Or who killed them. A sob left my throat and I fell to my knees. Asuna gasped.
