An Incarnation of the Radius (Chapter Twenty-Three)

        "Onee-chan! You came to help!" I could hear Yui's voice as I descended down into the Ruby Palace.

"So this is what Floor 100 looked like. It's amazing. I'm almost sad we never made it up here." I muttered.

I dove down faster, hearing fighting going on.

"How are we supposed to beat that?!" I heard Lisbeth exclaim.

"It's got ten health bars. We'll manage some how! Asuna! Switch!" I heard Kirito exclaim, followed by slashing.

"Switch!" Asuna soon yelled out after. I then made myself known, pulling my trusted bow from off my back and raining arrows down at the Incarnation of the Radius. I could hear their shocked gasps at my entrance.

"Hey guys! Didn't think I'd just let you all take on SAO's final boss without me, did ya?!" I called out. Asuna smiled in relief.

"(Y/N)! You're alright!" I noticed the boss aiming its attack towards them. I gasped, as the bubble that had been bringing me to the fight, popped and I was now free-falling towards the ground. Taking advantage of this, I quickly switched to my sword like it was second nature. Digging the blade into the side of the boss on my way down slowed my descent to the ground, along with taking a bit of life off of one of the many health bars it has. The boss angrily swung its giant sword in my direction, as my attack had drawn the aggro. I gasped in panic and raised my sword as my defense. Rainbow-like beams came out at all of us after. I could hear everyone gasping out in pain as we all were hit by the beam and thrown back. I was thrown somewhere into the arches where Sinon was sniping at the enemy. Groaning in pain, I rose up and pulled my bow out and notched an arrow, letting it fly. My arrow broke through the shield the boss had placed around itself. Sinon and I had managed to get a couple of hits in before the boss fired a laser from its eyes at us. Agil rushed, hitting the shield that the boss had gained back once more after firing the beam at Sinon and I.

"Switch!" Agil shouted out. Kirito jumped down from the spot he'd been thrown into. His blade bashed into the side of the shield.

"Switch!" Asuna came rushing past him. Her rapier pierced the shield, however it still held up to all of our attacks.

"Switch!" Asuna exclaimed and Lisbeth and Silica both came rushing at the boss at the same time. The force of their dual attack finally broke the shield. There was so much force, that the boss fell back, losing the large sword in the process and falling into the rubble of the palace. A sound entered our hearing as a large tree formed around the boss. A droplet of water gathered on the leaves and fell to the ruby on the top of its head. We all gasped in shock as the damage we had managed to do completely healed.

"Shit!" Kirito cursed. I would have looked over at him in surprise, however this was a serious situation. Cursing seems appropriate.

"No way!" Silica gasped out.

"What?! How is that fair?!" I exclaimed in disdain.

"Oh man, how do we beat that thing?!" Lisbeth asked in a panic. After she had done so, the boss raised the polearm it held in its other hand and stabbed it into the ground, sending a new attack at us. Roots came from nowhere behind it and they were coming at us at an alarming rate. I somehow dodge the attack, however am unable to see anything as the dust clouds from the attack.

"Is everyone alright?!" I shout out, hoping to hear anything from the others.

"Lisbeth, Asuna and Agil are trapped in the roots!" Kirito's voice comes from right beside me. The dust clears, and in that moment, another beam is sent at Sinon.
