I take the lead, towing Jimin behind me through the crowd. Jimin stays close, and I am careful to clear a path so he is not crowded. It is. It a long walk, and we arrive in front of a small restaurant after a little bit. I open the door, motioning Jimin in kindly. He thanks me quietly and steps inside, falling beside me as a woman at the front desk smiles and leads us to a booth along the wall. Jimin slides is, admiring the interior of the small place curiously. I hesitate and slide in beside him, eliciting a small smile. The waiter sets down menus and utensils, leaving us to our business. I flip through the menu, finding the breakfast menu and marvel silently at the photos and menu items. Jimin is doing the same when a waitress walks up, greeting us cheerily. We return a greeting and she asks if we want anything. Jimin hurriedly orders chocolate milk for us both and pulls me into a conversation, distracting me as the waitress smiles and leaves.
"Jimin I didn't want chocolate milk."
I grumble and he smiles at me.
"You'll be okay. It will be good."
I roll my eyes, returning my gaze to the menu.
"You're such a child."
I scoff and he chuckles, inspecting me quietly.
"What are you gonna get?"
He inquires quietly and I shrug a bit, pointing at a dish of biscuits and gravy.
"I was thinking about that..."
He nods and studies his menu again, frowning thoughtfully.
"What should I get?"
He mutters and I skim over the menu again, pointing at a dish happily.
"That."
I announce firmly and he peers over curiously.
"That sounds good."
He nods happily, eyes taking in the plate of French toast that is pictured in the menu. We wait only a moment longer when the waitress returns, setting down our glasses and asks if we are ready to order. We nod and Jimin orders first, me ordering after him. We wait for a bit and I realize I have zoned out, mind focused on my job and making the deadline this month. Jimin doesn't seem to mind, as he is busy sipping his drink and analyzing the interior design.
"Ah."
I hum happily, drawing his attention to me.
"Do you remember that picture of you I took?"
I chirp cheerfully, recalling our first cold night in the park when I had photographed him. He nods, watching me curiously.
"My boss featured it for last months theme! That and another of my pictures. She liked the idea."
I ramble happily and Jimin smiles, studying me.
"That's awesome Yoongi!"
He chirps and chuckles.
"What about this month?"
He inquires, tapping his fingertips on the table.
"Spring showers."
I chirp happily, distracted by the waitress who has brought two plates of food. She sets the down the plates and smiles politely, hurrying off to tend to the other customers.
Jimin picks up his fork happily and digs into his food, urging me to do the same.
