I sit in silence for a while, staring lazily out the window, trying my best to ignore any thoughts that flutter through my mind. Especially the ones about Park Jimin.
At some point the cafe empties again and Jin wanders over to my table and sits down, watching my empty expression.
He clears his throat and my eyes find his, our gazes locking for a few silent moments. Finally he lowers his eyes and whispers a barely audible apology that I wave off.
"It's okay. You didn't know."
I reassure him, to which he nods unsurely.
"It's a shame he's taken..."
Jin grumbles before quietly continuing,
"He's really livened you up."
He notes and I look away, contemplating the truth in his words.
Park Jimin really does make me happy. He makes me forget I am broken, incomplete, lost.
He makes me feel whole.
I sigh in frustration and Jin looks at me sympathetically. I avoid his gaze as I go back to sipping my drink. I motion to what is left of Jimin's and hive Jin a look.
"Please take it."
I grumble unhappily and he nods, standing and taking it back to the kitchen. I fold my arms on the table and plop my forehead on them, sighing as I close my eyes miserably. The thought that I scared him off and he won't come back makes my chest ache.
I hear Jin sit down again and ignore him, burying my face a bit more. He sighs and reaches over, rubbing the top of my head sympathetically. The affectionate touch reminds me of the night before with Jimin and my stomach coils tightly.
"Jin, stop."
I complain tiredly and he pulls his hand away, frowning.
"Yoongi..."
He grumbles and I wave him off, sitting up tiredly.
"Jimin rubbed my head like that yesterday. When I couldn't sleep."
I mutter and Jin's eyes widen slightly, looking hopeful.
"That's a start,"
"Jin."
I protest lazily.
"So maybe he's starting to like,"
"Jin."
I snap with more force and he heaved a sigh, glancing out the window.
"He has a girlfriend."
I mumble lifelessly and for my sake he holds in his protests. We sit in silence for a long while before Jin raises his brows, looking at the napkin container.
I frown at him curiously as he pulls a wallet from beside the dispenser, hidden from my view. My eyes get wide as they meet his, realization showing in both our gazes.
"It's Jimin's."
We say in unison and he grins, tossing it to me.
"Guess you gotta take it back to him."
He shrugs nonchalantly, but his eyes sparkle with hope and giddiness. I sigh and nod, tucking the wallet into my back pocket.
"Guess so."
I say lightly and he waves me off, collecting my now empty cup as he stands.
"Get to it then."
He chirps as he hurries back to the kitchen, leaving me alone as I stand and leave the safety of the cafe, trying to remember my way to Jimin's apartment.
