CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

short but huge surprise,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i wrote this in class literally the lecturer infront of me

The night had gone on well with Callan sleeping on the coach not even waiting for the food which in the end i didnt even prepare.He was too heavy for me to carry so instead i took a blanket from his room and putting it over him.He looked so innocent in his sleep.I just smiled as i looked at him in his sleep.His mother's words still lingered in my head and the braver instruction that showed clearly they were after him and luke's words in my brain i knew i was treading on athin line that i might regret.but so far he had showee me that he got my back like no one did and even i didnt show it i really dont know what i woud do without him.

Soon morning came and we went to the mall picked a few clothes and everything a girl would need.we dropped off Troy's car as Callan's had already been fixed and went back home to prepare for the slumber party.We just talked random issues and even forgot i was invisible until a girl tried to get Callan's attention since he was "alone".

"Cal,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, are you nervous with the next instruction in mind?,,,,,"i asked after noticing the silence.We were at his place watching a movie that i totally had no idea what was happening.

"No am just wondering why my mother was so cold to you?"

"Dont worry if i was your mother and i saw you with a girl in my house after barely two weeks bearing in mind you are the mayor's son,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i also wouldnt help but act like she did she is just looking out for you,,,,,,,,,,,,you know,,,,,,,,,"i tried reasoning with as i already knew the reason behind her mom's dislike to me but i couldnt tell him not now maybe later or maybe not.

"yeah but she has never been like that with anyone else,,,,,,it feels like,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,feels like there is something she doesnt want me to know about and i just dont understand,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"

i was about to answer when there was a movement in the kitchen like something heavy had just landed,,,,"what was that?"i asked abit alarmed and looked over to see Callan equally alarmed

"i dont know,,,,,,,,,,,,its like,,,,,,,,,,,,"something black suddenly came over us before attacking the direction we were.it was like a swarm of bees headed towards us

"GET BEHIND THE COUCH CALLAN NOW"i shouted.buzzers.that is what they were they were big bee like animals usually associated with the Bravers and once stung by one they would paralyse you.

"YOU TOO COME BEHIND ME AM NOT LEAVING YOU BEHIND WITH THESE THINGS"i could hear him shouting back as the buzzers came towards me.How had they found me?oh no this does not look too good

"CAL LISTEN TO ME DONT LET ANY OF THEM STING YOU LET US CONFUSE THEM HEAD TOWARDS THE BALCONY I GO TOWARDS THE BASEMENT TO REDUCE THEIR TENSION "

"LOOK OUT ZYNN"when i saw them heading towards me there was nothing insight that could cover me from them.I closed my eyes and waited for the worst to happen when i heard drops of vinegar drop down on me.Vinegar was the only thing that could destroy them.But it was only me and Callan in the house and he couldnt know that so who did that?The buzzs they caused died and opened my eyes to see a young lady above me finishing off the remaining buzzers before breaking into a huge smile and finally saying "crushed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"who was she?she looked abit familiar as she looked down to help me up still smiling

"LEA?????????????????" i heard Callan's voice and saw a huge shock on his face as if he had just seen a ghost

"well hello there small brother?"after getting me to get up"and hello to you my dear today would have actually been your funeral day i am actually your guardian angel,,,,,,,,,,"
