SLEEPOVER ONE

"honey Terry Is here" shouted my dad from downstairs.

"okay I'll be down in a sec" I said as I put back the threat notes away and headed down for the Friday sleepover. Atleast that's what we told dad.

"Terry you here" I said as I went to hug her and took her bags leading her to my room before my dad shouted back.

"you sure you guys are not eating supper with us?"

"yeah dad we are just going to have junk snacks in my room" I said as we went up the stairs.

"okay girls have fun"

Once in my room "so?" I asked her

"yeah they will be here in like thirty minutes" said Terry as I looked over to my balcony "you are sure your dad wont bust us?,,,, remember he is still the tradition kind he doesn't take it kindly when boys sleep over"

"that's why they are sneaking in by the balcony Terry" I said as I looked down to see whether they have arrived "okay before they come we can finish up our weekend assignments"

"good idea" as we both sat down on the mat in my room.

We talked about girls stuff and laughed off like normal teenage bffs do

"that reminds me Terry,,,, what are you going to do about Troy?"

"we are just friends,,,, I mean for me I only see him as a friend" she said as she took a piece of chip into her mouth.

"yeah but the guy is head over heels for you but you just keep him in the friends zone,,,, I feel you but for the guy?,,, he is like really into you Terry"

"I know but I just don't want to start something I don't even believe in"

"what do you mean?"

"honestly Zynn people have always treated me like a nerd and maybe I am one,,,,, before I met you guys I didn't take pride in things like friends, sleepovers, fun nights so things like love and relationships to me they are like ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, foreign stuff I really don't believe in such"

"seriously? Terry let me ask you a very simple question"

"okay"

"ten years from now how do you see Terry Banks?"

"ummmm let's see,,,, an amazing business lady with an amazing career who is able to feed herself and take care of herself"

"only that?"

"yeah,,, I mean success is everything to me" as I smiled "what?"

"haven't you learnt anything from Callan's life especially her mom"

"what do you mean?"

"I mean look at Callan's family from the outside they are well off and they like literally get anything they could ask or wish for but just look at Claudia even with all that success she is not happy because her husband is always working , her children don't want anything to do with her because of her money minded nature so even with all that success and no one to share with ,,, you just feel alone and lost"

As she listened to me quietly "you are right Zynn I have never seen it like that"

"look Terry, its good to have high ambitions in life but don't just think about success and miss out on all the fun in the different stages of life. I was like you before I met Callan I was filled with hate and revenge in my heart but since I met him,,,, I have never been happier even with all the challenges around" holding her hand "Troy is good guy,,,, he might be silly but I believe he is a gentleman,,,, think about it and give him a chance, give love a chance trust me it's the only true satisfaction in this world" I told her as she went silent deep in thought before I heard a voice from the balcony.

"okay nice talk now,,, can you girls help me out here" said Callan as he tried to enter the house and we both rushed to help him into the room. Soon both of them were in the room

"remind why we didn't go to Callan's house again where we can use an actually door" said Troy with his hands on his knees panting.

"I thought you guys have work outs for basketball?" I asked both of them.

"yeah,,,, but we are not vampires who climb straight walls" said Callan.

"okay anyway welcome just done with our homework" as we put the books away and the boys made themselves comfortable on the bed.

"why is Terry so quiet?" asked Troy "are you that happy to see me that it makes you speechless?" as we all laughed and Terry threw a pillow at him playfully.

"honey!!!!" shouted my dad behind the door. Shit!

"yes dad?"

"I thought I heard boy voices in there,,,,,,, I thought its only you and Terry" as I looked at the boys panicked faces.

"whaaaaat!!!!! That's ridiculous we are just playing voices in here" I said

"I thought I heard Callan's voice" oh crap!

"oh come on dad? You just miss him"

"well okay,,,, I trust you to follow rules of this house no boys are allowed to come for sleepover okay Zynn even your boyfriend?"

"yeah dad I know"

"okay then have fun dear" once gone

"that was close" said Terry "what do we do now?"

"yeah he is going to recognize my voice again and this time we will be busted" said Callan

"I have an idea" I said as I put on some booming music near the door so that from outside you cant hear people from inside "that's okay?"

"yeah cool" said Troy as we went back to our mat.
