HOPE'S POV

Soon after, the door clicks, and it opens.

I can't see the person behind the door, but Zayn obviously can. He still hasn't said a word, but then he clears his throat and speaks.

"Hello," he says, calmly.

The other person stays silent.

"So, um, I'm here to ask you something," Zayn starts. "This may sound creepy and all, but yeah, I'll just say it."

The person behind the door still hasn't said anything. It's like Zayn was talking to a statue. I so desperately wanted to go and see the person myself, but Macit was pulling me back. It was dangerous, and if the person behind that door turned out to be someone that has a connection with our enemy, Macit and I were done for, and we can no longer find Daniel. If the person behind that door knows our faces, then it was much safer for us to actually be as far away as possible from the door, and we have to make sure that we make absolutely no sound at all. After thinking about it, our enemy doesn't know Zayn's face, so nothing is going to happen to him. They don't know him, and they don't know that we know him, so everything would go just fine. I hope.

"Um, do you by any chance know a person who goes by the name Daniel?" Zayn tried to sound as subtle as possible.

The person still didn't speak, but judging from Zayn's expression, he or she must have shaken their head no, because the thing that Zayn asked next was, "Are you sure?"

The person still didn't speak. What, did you bite your tongue or something?

"Alright, I'm going to ask you one more time." Zayn said. "Just once, and then I'll go. Please be honest with me, will you?"

Zayn shifted his gaze to the ground before speaking. "Here it goes, but please be honest with me."

He licked his lips. "Do you know we have been looking everywhere for you, Daniel?"

My heart stopped. It couldn't be, could it?

The person behind the door was - was Daniel?

Macit looks at me, eyes wide. Could it be Daniel? Have we really found him, after all these months?

Zayn opens his mouth to speak again. "Don't give me that face. I know you're Daniel."

Still, the other person, who could be Daniel, doesn't say a word. "I have someone, or two actually, who'd like to see you," he looks at me and Macit afterwards. He motions us to come stand next to him with his hand, and Macit nods at me to go, not leaving my hand. With every step we take, our hearts beat faster. Our breathing hicthes in our throats and we now stand next to Zayn, still not able to see the person who was behind the door.

I step closer to Zayn, and he grabs my arms and lets me stand in front of him. My breath is caught in my throat as I stand face to face with my twin brother, Daniel. His hard expression soon turns into a soft one, and his mouth gapes open.

"H-hope?" he says. His voice has gotten raspier and became deeper from the last time I saw him.

"It's me, Daniel, it's me," I don't give him any time to answer as I throw myself at him, my arms hugging his torso, head pressed to his chest. I can hear his heart beat, and I'm so thankful that he's alive and safe. He's here, he's really here. This is not a dream, this is reality.

I'm pretty sure that I have wet his shirt with my tears, but he doesn't seem to be phased. He doesn't mind at all. He pulls away after a good two minutes, and takes a look at me. He takes my face in his hands and says, "Hey hey, stop crying, I'm here, everything's fine sis, I'm here now," his lips press gently on my forehead soon after.
