MACIT'S POV

We've been walking for hours after we parked the car somewhere near the area I once lived in with my family peacefully. It was getting darker now, and we still haven't found anything. Zayn and I are looking everywhere, scanning each and every face, but not making it look like it. We didn't want anyone knowing that we were staring at their faces, that'd be such an awkward conversation and we'd like to keep it on the down low. Zayn has been quiet since the beginning of this search, and I was glad for that. If Hope was here, she would keep on talking for hours on end, not stopping to even catch a breath. Yeah, she was quite the radio. A radio that never shuts up no matter what you do.

2 hours later, the darkness has englufed the sky completely, and any source of living activity has disappeared. It was a school night, and it was dark, I thought to myself.

Still no sign of Daniel. I was getting pretty tired, so I ask Zayn if we can stop for a quick break. We sit down on a bench outside a busy Italian restaurant, the aroma of pizza taking over my nostrils. Mmmm, pizza. I was hungry, but Zayn and I both knew that if we go in, we won't come out until later. Hope did give us some snacks though, so it's good that we saved them so far. I give a chocolate bar to Zayn, taking one for myself afterwards. "Still nothing, Zayn. What are we going to do?" I ask, breaking the silence. He leans his head back on the wall, and sighs.

"I don't know, I really don't. But, that doesn't mean we should just go back empty handed. We should keep looking, everything takes time, remember?" he replies.

I nod at him. "I know."

After 15 minutes, we start looking again, and it looks like we're going to look for long while.

HOPE'S POV

"Hope, you're kidding," Gemma says, baffled by what I just asked, "I promised your brother and Zayn that we'll stay with you the whole night at home so that nothing happens to you! What do you mean you want to go look for them?!"

"I know Gemma! But, they still haven't come back and they're not answering their phones, what do you expect me to do? Sit here and wait for them, when they could possibly be captured?" I say, putting my hands in the air, frustrated. If they think that I won't go out and look for them, boy were they wrong.

"Hope, calm down, please," Harry says this time.

"I can't calm down Harry! I have to go find them. I know they need my help, but they only put me here so that I'd be safe, but don't you get it? I'm safe, but they're not."

I know, I must be crazy thinking about going after them, but I honestly have no choice. When your boyfriend and your brother both go look for your other brother in the early afternoon, and don't come back for hours, they don't answer their phone, and you have no idea what happened to them, or what could happen to them, you freak out. I freaked out a lot in my life, and I still do, and I always will, and there's no stopping me from that. I am a person that worries too much, so take me as I am or leave me.

"Hope," Gemma says, pointing her finger at me.

"Gemma."

"We can't let you go no matter how much we want to, I'm sorry," she explains.

"This is about your safety Hope, don't forget," Harry adds.

The same thing, over and over again. I'm sick and tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. For once, I want to do something. I don't want to be the person who always waits for someone to save her, no. I want to be the one who'll save someone. I want to experience that feeling, and you don't know how bad.

"Listen guys," I begin, "I know that you all want my safety, but, I have to go look for them, whether you're coming with me or not."

"Bu-" Gemma speaks, but I cut her off.

"Please, listen to me. I want nothing more than my family back, my old life back and my safety back. The danger has consumed all of us, and I'm in way too deep for my liking, but if I don't face my fears, this won't be over. I want this to be over, so please, please for the love of God, please let me go," I say, voice breaking at the end, a tear following right after.

Gemma comes up and gives me a tight hug. I cry harder. She pulls away after a couple of minutes and looks at me sympathetically.

"I don't know how you're feeling, but I know you're feeling horrible. I don't know what you're going through, or what fully happened, but I know one day, when this all ends, you'll explain to us the full story. You're going to be so strong, you're going to show everyone that you can do anything if you try. I know you want to go look for them, help them or just do something, but I promised them, and when I make a promise, I don't break it," she says.

I look at her. "Thank you, for what you just said, and for staying the night with me," I turn my gaze to Harry, who was standing there, arms folded on his chest, "You too Harry, thank you."

I wipe my tears. "I'm sorry, I must look like a mess."

"You look fine, promise," Harry says.

After a couple minutes of silence, Gemma speaks again. "Do you want me to go make some food and get drinks? You guys must be hungry by now."

I get an idea, smiling slightly, but I quickly compose myself so I don't look suspiscious.

"No, no, I'll do it, you sit down," I tell her quickly.

"Are you sure?" she asks.

"Positive. It'll help me keep my mind off things," I say, pursing my lips at the end.

"Alright, we'll be right here if you need anything," she says as I enter the kitchen.

"Okay!" I call back.

Gemma, you may not break promises, but I do.
