Ross' POV
"What did you just say?" Courtney asked aggressively. Everyone around us stopped in their tracks and glanced over in our direction. Usually I'd love the attention from my peers but on this occasion I really didn't. "Go on Ross, say it again! Unless you're to chicken shit to say it in front of all our friends."
I shrugged my shoulders. I didn't care anymore. I had nothing to lose. I was leaving this place I'd called a second home in less than nine months, then I knew that reality was definitely going to settle in for me. I had a family to look after, not a five month girlfriend who only wanted me for my money and social standing. "I'm breaking up with you."
The jocks began to chuckle and the girls gasped in astonishment. I'd always been a sweet guy in their eyes, I'd never messed up, I always supported the guys on my team and I never broke the bro code. But now? Now I was going against all of my better judgement and of course my morals. I was about to wreck my social standing and weirdly, I didn't give a crap about it.
"Not before I tell everyone here what you did to me behind Laura's back." Courtney quietly said with her arms wrapped around her waist. I furrowed my eyebrows at her. "Trust me Ross, we both know I will."
I sighed. I had two choices here; stay in this relationship or own up to my mistakes and win back the girl I truly loved and wanted in my life. With a shrug I smiled at Courtney and nodded. "Tell them."
Courtney stood in front of me with a confused expression on her face. "What? You want me to-"
"Do it." I repeated softly. I held Courtney's hand in mine and heard the sound of those around us chanting for a fight between us. I turned around and held my hand up in defence. "Listen guys I have something that I'd like to admit."
"What is it Rossy boy?" One of the jocks asked loudly from the back of the swarm of people in front of us. Everyone began to chuckle, but this wasn't a joke.
"Some of you might be familiar with the name Laura Marano." I said calmly. Everyone nodded in agreement. "Well, I cheated on her whilst she was pregnant with our daughter. The person I cheated with was Courtney. Our relationship was built on lies, manipulation and false hope. I guess I don't want it anymore."
The room fell silent and Courtney exhaled with defeat from beside me. I could see Rydel, Trisha and Cece all standing together in shock. "So... that's the story." I murmured. "I hurt the girl I loved more than anyone else in the world and now I'm trying to put things right."
A sudden slap across my face sent me falling backwards into a wall which I whacked my head against. I could hear screams and cries from around me as my vision became blurry and dark. "Courtney why did you do that?" I could hear Rydel asking, she was screaming hysterically at her.
"Ross! Ross answer me!" It was Cece. Her voice was slowly draining away and I could feel my head spinning. "He needs help! Somebody help!"

Laura's POV
"Stay in the car with Bella, Ness, okay?" I begged my older sister as I pulled up beside the school. Vanessa stared nervously at me but held Isabella tightly in her arms. I quickly locked the car and ran towards the entrance of the school. I pulled out my phone and dialled in Rydel's number. "Rydel? Where are you?" I asked as I frantically opened various different doors and ran to different directions of the campus.
I didn't need to wait for her answer however. The sound of screaming and crying could be heard from the door in front of me and with a quick shove I entered into the madness. I was met with the rest of our peers frantically surrounding Ross, calling ambulances and searching for Mr Swan. "Ross!" I screamed in horror. I ran straight towards him and dropped to my knees. I cradled him in my arms and shook him gently, he was unresponsive. "Ross!" I cried again still desperately shaking him.
