Laura's POV
I placed my fingertip on the glass of my bedroom window and gazed out at the beautiful June sky before me. My hair was tied up into a messy bun and I was applying my last coat of dark pink lipgloss. The sound of my bedroom door opening behind me made me turn around slowly on my chair and I beamed when I saw my mom holding Isabella in her arms. She was dressed in a mini version of my graduation outfit, she even had a cap to match and I couldn't help but giggle quietly to myself.
"I can't believe how beautiful you look honey." My mom murmured, holding her hands close to her chest. I could see the tears that were forming in her light green eyes and I quickly stood up and wrapped my arms around her. "I'm so proud of you and I know that your father would have been too."
"Oh mom." I whispered into her ear. I placed a loving kiss on her cheek and pulled away from her embrace with a smile on my face. "I'm so proud of you too... we've had a tough year but we've pulled through it all... together."
I looked back at Isabella who was sat upright on the edge of my bed and she waved excitedly at me. "Hi baby." I teased in between giggles. I scooped her up into my embrace and turned to my mom with a grin. "I'm ready to go whenever you are."
She quickly wiped the tears away from her face, took a deep breath in and pulled her car keys out from the pocket of her jeans. "Let's go!"
I placed my graduation cap on top of my head and quickly followed behind my mom with Isabella in my arms holding her little toy unicorn. I'd arranged to meet up with Raini, Calum, Ross and the rest of the Lynches once we arrived at my high school and to my recent discovery it turned out that Lucy, Trisha and Cece would all be there to watch us graduate which I was more than happy about.
"Are you nervous sweetie?" My mom asked from the front seat as we pulled away from our house. I nodded my head at her and bit my lip. "You'll be fine baby. It's an end of an era but hey, at least we both get to watch Bella and Ryder graduate one day, huh?"
"Mom!" I scolded letting out a nervous laugh. "That's a long way away yet."
I glanced at my daughter who was sat in her baby proof car seat and I shook my head in disbelief. I couldn't quite believe that I was a mother to a one year old who would be two in seven months time and whether I liked it or not she wouldn't stay tiny forever. She was going to grow up and go through so many changes, just like I did but I knew in my heart that I was going to be there for her, every single step of the way.
As the months had gone by Isabella had began to repeat and use more words than I was used to hearing. We had to be extra careful about our style of language that we used around her and always had to repeat words loudly in order for her to really understand and get used to what we were saying. Her new favourite word was food, she was constantly asking for it and to my dismay, my mom would always give it to her.
"Oh look it's Ness!" My mom exclaimed as we pulled up on the pavement. She was stood in her graduation outfit and had the pushchair with her. I could see Ryder's cute little mop of brunette hair and his chocolate brown eyes as him and Bella began to wave excitedly at one another. "Hey honey! Do you need a ride?"
Vanessa frantically nodded her head and my mom snapped her fingers at me as an indication to help her and Ryder into the car. I hopped out of the back seat and helped Vanessa to fold up the pushchair. "Hey little guy!" I exclaimed, tickling Ryder on the cheek. He grinned at me and began to kick his legs about as Vanessa strapped him into the backseat beside Isabella in his own child proof seat.
