Ross' POV
I stood in front of the Manhattan crowd and smiled happily at all of them. It was such an overwhelming feeling to be stood on a stage just meters away from people who absolutely adore you and yet you have no way of getting to them. They are all just small specs that I'm able to vaguely glance at from my perspective on stage. I could feel my heart pulsating wildly in my chest. This was an experience of a lifetime and it just kept getting better and better.
Both of my hands were gripped tightly around the microphone and my acoustic guitar was wrapped around my waist just itching to be played. The rain was falling at a rapid pace from the dark evening sky above us and so, with a quick soundcheck and a deep breath. I began to strum the first few chords of the song onto my guitar. "Now this song..." I began with a soft chuckle, feeling the soft drops of rain land on my cheeks. "It's very special to me... and I'm sure it'll be special to a lot of you here tonight."
Young girls in the front row began to clap their hands excitedly and waved their phones in the air with the flashlight on, knowing that our last performance was destined to be a thoughtful one. I'd saved the best for last and knew that I would only be thinking about one person throughout it all. And that person you may ask? Well, that person is Laura Marie Marano. My beautiful, amazing girlfriend.
"Manhattan, if you are or ever have been in love then I'd like you to sing along to this with me." I added before giving the thumbs up to the rest of the band who took their places on their own individual instruments.
The calming sound of One Last Dance, a song that I'd recently come up with whilst sitting alone on my bunk bed at three in the morning on our compacted tour bus, suddenly made the entire arena go silent. I smiled at the atmosphere and brought the microphone closer to me as the first few lyrics were ready to sing.
"Teardrops in your hazel eyes... I can't believe I made you cry."
"It feels so long since we went wrong but you're still on my mind."
"Never meant to break your heart, sometimes things just fall apart."
"So here's one night... to make it right... before we say goodbye."
"So wait up... wait up... give me one more chance..."
"To make up... make up... I just need one last dance..."
"Freshman year I saw your face... now it's graduation day."
"Said we'd be friends till the end... can we start again?"
"So wait up... wait up... give me one more chance..."
"To make up... make up... I just need one last dance..."
"Join in with me for this part, Manhattan!" I yelled as Rocky appeared beside me, strumming gently on his own guitar.
"Na na na na oh, oh... na, na, na, na, oh, oh..."
"I heard you're heading east so let's just... make our peace."
"So when you think... of me... you'll smile and I'll smile."
"So wait up... wait up... give me one more chance.."
"To make up... make up... I just need one last dance..."
"So wait up... wait up... give me one more chance.."
"Just one song and then I'll move on..."
"Give me with one last dance."
"I just need one last dance..."
"With you."
