Laura's POV

"Ross, where are you taking me?" I asked in between a fit of giggles. His hands were sealed tightly over my eyes and he was gently guiding me towards the unknown destination.

"I can't say silly, it'll ruin the surprise." He murmured into my ear with a soft chuckle. "I promise you'll love it though."

We came to a sudden halt and Ross carefully guided me towards what felt like a wall. "Hold your hand out, what do you think that is?"

I furrowed my eyebrows and shrugged my shoulders. "I mean... it feels like a wall or something. Is that what it is?"

"Wrong!" Ross chuckled before guiding me a little bit further. We stopped again and I could hear the sound of a key turning in a lock as I was guided once again. "Okay... are you ready?"

I giggled nervously and nodded my head. "I think so."

"Three.... two... one."

Ross lifted his hands away from my eyes and instantly my heart fell to the floor. I was met with a small apartment which was covered in fairy lights and small pictures of Ross, Isabella and myself. There was no furniture except for two fluffy blankets on the floor which were accompanied with a bottle of wine and a box of pizza. "Ross... oh my god... how did you-"

He held up a few pages of paperwork in his hand and smirked. "Your mom gave this to me this morning. Your father left this apartment for you and Bella and so I decided to make it our home."

I gasped in disbelief and wrapped my arms tightly around his waist. "Oh my god Ross, I love it! Thank you so much!"

He planted a kiss on my forehead and closed the door behind him, leading me over to the blankets on the floor and pouring me a small glass of wine. "To us." He murmured with a smile as he clinked his glass against mine. "We finally get to be a family."

I pressed my lips gently against his and nuzzled my head into his chest. "I can't believe this is our home now..."

"I told you... it's me and you against everyone else now baby." He whispered into my ear. He wrapped his arms gently around my waist and carefully I leant my head on his shoulder. "I love you so much."

I smiled at him and gently traced my fingers across his cheek. "I love you so much too, Ross. I can't imagine my life with anyone else."

"Is that so?" He asked with a smile.

I nodded my head in response and slowly Ross stood up from the ground and carefully pulled me up with him. "Stand there a second."

I giggled nervously and shook my head. "What are you up to now?"

"Just trust me."

Ross slightly dimmed the lights and turned the record player on. It began to play Turning Pages by Sleeping At Last, a band that Ross and I equally shared a love for. He walked towards me and slowly knelt down on one knee. I stared at him with wide eyes and held my hands to my face in disbelief. "Ross-"

"Laura... you make me the happiest guy alive and I always want it to stay that way. You love me for exactly who I am and you've given me a gift greater than life itself. I love you and Bella so much and I can't imagine a life without either of you now that I have it. So... it's taken me a little while to figure all of this out. But Laura Marie Marano, will you please marry me?"

I began to cry tears of pure happiness and shock as I wrapped my arms tightly around Ross' neck. I pressed my lips to his and breathlessly gave him my answer. "Yes! Yes!"

Ross carefully slid the triangular shaped diamond engagement ring onto my finger and kissed the back of my hand lightly with his lips. "I don't care if we get married in a week, a year or another decade. I want you Laura and I'm not going to risk losing you ever again."

I continued to weep into his chest. I was the happiest girl alive. I'd never planned for my life to take this course or to walk down such an unexpected path but it was so much better than the one I'd originally designed for myself.

Without any warning, Ross scooped me up into his arms and carried me over to the small blanket fort that we'd made on the floor. He laid me down gently and pressed his lips to my forehead. "You know... there's this saying that if you don't christen the new home on the first night you'll get bad luck."

I smirked and we both giggled. "Oh really?"

Ross wore a smug look on his face as he traced his fingertips slowly against my skin. "Yeah... really."

"Hmmm." I teased with a provoking look on my face. I blew out the candle that was on ground beside us and grinned at him. The only source of light we had came from the pale moonlight outside of the window we were sat next to. "I really need some good luck."

Ross pulled my shirt off from above my head and eagerly I pulled his off too. We stared at each other for a few seconds before laying back down on the sheets beneath us and sharing a passionate kiss.

Our night together continued to progress until the early hours of the morning until the sun slowly began to rise in the sky and the soft melody from the record finally came to a stop.

I wrapped myself up in one of Ross' oversized baggy sweatshirts and we both stood in front of the beautiful view of our new apartment wrapped up in each other's embrace. "I could get used to this..." I whispered, kissing Ross' hand lovingly.

"This is all ours now." Ross murmured, gesturing his hand to the beautiful sunset in front of us.

The sudden realisation hit me that I was now engaged to the boy I loved more than anyone else in the entire world and with a deep breath I glanced down at my hands.

"Oh my god." I said quietly in disbelief as I stared down at my ring. Ross was stood behind me with his arms wrapped protectively around my waist. "I can't believe that one day I'm going to become Laura Lynch."

"You're going to be my wife." Ross chuckled, his voice was hoarse yet sexy as he whispered into my ear.

"And you're going to be my husband." I giggled back as we shared another passionate kiss before gazing back off into the sunset.
