Laura's POV
I was struggling to walk along with Isabella's pushchair in tow after spending the majority of my evening crying into my pillow and missing Ross a lot more than I originally intended to. It's crazy how much you realise a person means to you once they actually disappear or remove themselves from your life. You don't even appreciate or see the impact that they have on you as a person or your life in general until they're gone.
I purposely forced myself to walk past the Lynch's house on my way to school, secretly hoping that it would somehow cure my sadness and make me feel slightly better knowing that Ross being away from Isabella and I wasn't going to be a permanent fix.
I found myself glancing up at his bedroom window. His curtains were drawn and not a single light was on in their house which was extremely unusual for Stormie and Mark. I began to wonder if they'd gone on a vacation somewhere or if they had some sort of business to attend to. "Weird..." I murmured to myself before continuing my journey towards the school that I was dreading to go to today. I was grateful that I at least still had Raini, Calum and Troy there to talk to but I'd miss Ross and Rydel more than anyone else could possibly imagine.
After ten minutes of sweating and reminding myself mentally that everything was going to be okay between myself and Ross once he returned I finally made it to Isabella's nursery. I exhaled sharply and wheeled her pushchair into the nursery, weakly smiling at the other young parents who surrounded me. I stopped at her crib that they'd labelled especially for her and with a sigh I gently lifted Isabella into my arms and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek. "Here you go baby girl, try to get some sleep for the both of us okay?" I joked before placing her in the cosy pink crib in front of me.
I wrapped her pushchair up and placed it up against the wall nearest to her crib so that I could return for it later. I grabbed my belongings and all of Isabella's necessities before heading towards the exit of the nursery. Missy was holding her son in her arms as we briefly greeted one another. I didn't have time to talk to her today and frankly I didn't feel like it. I just wanted to get to class and try to preoccupy my mind with anything else but Ross Lynch.
I scurried towards my first class of the day which was English and held my books tightly in my arms. My anxiety was getting the best of me as I pushed my way down the endless hallways and felt like a million pairs of eyes were on me, knowing what I was going through. But that was such a ludicrous thought. I mean who would truly care about me? The girlfriend of Ross Lynch, the sixteen year old who managed to get herself knocked up despite having seven A Grades to her name. Yeah, very ludicrous indeed.
"Ah! Miss Marano! So nice of you to join us on this dreary morning." My English teacher Miss Johnson kindly said before handing me the assignment for that period. Before I could take my seat, she gently grabbed my arm and gave me a knowing look. "Are you okay?"
I nodded in response, suddenly feeling extremely awkward. I hated being the centre of attention. I'd give anything to be just another nameless face in the background than someone who always stood out. It just wasn't my forte and it never would be. "I'm good." I quietly replied, returning her smile. "Thanks for asking."
Before she could question me any further I took my seat beside Troy and frantically began to flick through the pages in my study books. I felt the warmth of his hand pressed on top of mine as Miss Johnson began to explain the assignment to the rest of the class. She was luckily one of those teachers who didn't seem to care if her students were talking whilst she was, she was getting paid and making the majority of us pass with good grades so I suppose it wasn't an issue for her. "What did I tell you about stress? It's bad for your-"
