                               Laura's POV

"One..."

"Two..."

"Three."

We both stared down at the pregnancy test in disbelief. Rydel's hands were shaking violently and her palms became sweaty. "Oh my god." She whispered, shaking her head back and forth. "I... I don't know how I feel about this."

The pregnancy test was in fact, positive. The plus sign was even clearer than the test I'd taken when I'd suspected I was pregnant with Isabella. There was no way of denying Rydel's pregnancy. I raised my eyebrow as I realised that it also gave the amount of how far along she was. "Delly." I murmured, gently tapping her on the shoulder. I pressed my finger tip to the months and exhaled gently. "You're three months already."

Rydel began to cry gently into her hands and I awkwardly wrapped my arms around her. I'd been in her position and although it was terrifying it also felt amazing to know that whether you liked it or not there's a mini you growing inside of you and soon they'll become your best friend for life. You can always rely on them.

"You can do this." I murmured into her ear. I began to gently rub her back with the palm of my hand. "I know it seems hard right now and you have no idea how to be a mom but I promise I'll help you through it and so will everyone else."

Rydel's teary brown eyes widened. "Are you sure?"

I nodded and tucked a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. "I'm more than sure, Delly. You can do this. I know you can."

She took a deep breath in and held the pregnancy test close to her chest as another tear rolled down her cheek. She curled up into my embrace and I placed a kiss on her forehead. Rydel had become more like a sister to me than a friend since Ross and I had become closer and more serious as a couple. I loved her so much and I'd do my absolute best to take care of her and make sure her and my future niece or nephew would be okay.

"Now I'll have to tell everyone that I'm..." She exhaled gently. "That I'm pregnant."

I smiled wearily at her. "It's not as hard as you may think."

"How did you do it Laura?" She asked with a shake of her head.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I wasn't afraid because I had Bella... that's all that mattered to me."

Rydel placed one hand on her barely visible stomach and let out a quiet whimper. "I'm having a baby... I'm going to be a mommy."

I nodded with a grin. "Bella's going to have a cousin!"

Rydel began to giggle despite the tears that were still falling down her cheeks. "This is so crazy, Laur. You realise that, don't you?"

I nodded and wiped a tear away from underneath her eye. "I know but I promise it will all make sense eventually."

I truly had a firm belief in fate and the universe making our choices for us, before we can even comprehend that they've happened. Our lives are planned out for us and each day our parents, our friends, our enemies, even our own selves try to fight against the forces of nature but in the end, the world beats you and you have a life you never planned but weirdly you settle for. It's perfectly imperfect.
