**Here's chapter 4! Hope you're liking it!**

This couldn't be happening!

Michael hadn't seen me yet but I couldn't run away because he already knows I’m here.

"D-did y-you want to c-come up-upstairs?" I stuttered, not really knowing what else to say, but as soon as I spoke, Michael's head snapped up and looked shocked to see it was me standing there.

Before he could say anything, I went upstairs, and I soon heard footsteps walking behind me, meaning he was following me.

When we got into my bedroom, I waited for him to get in and then I closed the door. I turned to face him and he was sitting on my bed reading something. That's when it clicked. My dad’s letter.

I quickly ran over to him and snatched the piece of paper from him and went to put it back in the box where it belongs, with the others.

"Your dads serving?" Michael asked casually.

"It's none of your business," I said quietly, not wanting him to know anything about it and for him to drop it.

"I'm sorry," he said, almost sympathetically.

"L-look all I am g-going to s-say is c-can y-you not beat me u-up j-just f-for tonight? P-please?" I cautiously said, not wanting him to get mad and lash out on me.

"Fine, I'll just beat you up extra tomorrow then," he said with that evil look in his eyes as that smirk on his face. Great.

"So, sh-shall we get s-started?" I asked and pulled out his books and laid them out in front of me to see what he was doing and that.

He groaned and collapsed back on my bed. While I was reading through something, I could see something being thrown in the air by Michael and I turned to see what it was and I started to panic. He was throwing Alex.

"P-please s-stop," I tried to say but tears were chocking me.

Michael looked at me weirdly but saw my eyes were on the wolf, not him and he saw I was about to cry. Michael handed Alex to me and I quickly took it to make sure he was alright, and then I started silently sobbing.

"What's wrong?" Michael asked, but I didn't answer, I just continued crying while looking at Alex. I felt the bed move and next thing I know, I feel an arm on my back. I jumped and went to the nearest wall and slid down on the floor. I look up at Michael and he had guilt written in his eyes.

I don't want to be here. My wrists were started to itch and that was a sign I needed to cut again because I was getting too stressed out.

I quickly ran to the ensuite bathroom I had in my room and locked the door. I took the blade I had hidden and took my bracelets off. I looked at the previous cuts and started adding more.

I'm sorry dad.

Next thing I know, the door has swung open and the blade is taken from my hand and put somewhere and I was brought into someone's arms. I didn't care who it was. I just started crying into their chest.

After a long while, I stopped crying and looked up to see it was Michael hugging me. I tried to move but his arms weren't letting me do anything.

"It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you," he said. He pulled away from me and grabbed my wrist and looked at the damage. He carefully took my wrists and placed it under the tap, running cold water over it, making me hiss at the sting. "I'm sorry," he said. Then he looked through the cabinets and pulled out some bandages and carefully wrapped my wrist up.

"Th-thank you," I said to him after it was all neatly wrapped up.

This felt weird. I am tutoring the boy who bullies me, he knows about my dad now and he just stopped me and helped me with my cuts.

He guided me back to my room and made me sit down on the bed and he handing me Alex. I smiled at him, thinking of my dad.

"Can I just ask, don't answer if you don't want to, but, why? And who is this?" Michael asked out of the blue.

"Th-There are m-many reasons as to why and th-this is A-Alex. My d-dad gave him to m-me when I was l-little before he w-went to s-serve the first time," I told him and I don't know why I just did. "S-sorry. I d-don't know why I j-just told you th-that."

"Its fine, I won't tell anybody," he said and I looked at him and smiled thankfully at him. It wasn't till then that I realised that he had a black eye and a bit of a bruised cheek.

"D-did Ash-Ashton do that to you?" I stuttered. My damn stuttering is getting on my nerves, it's only around Michael, Luke and Calum that I stutter but I have a reason to I suppose.

"Oh this," he said pointing to his eye. "Yeah, but I'm used to getting in fights and having injuries so it’s fine," he told me.

I just realised, he came here for me to tutor him, but that didn't really go to plan.

"Before you start panicking about the studying, don't worry about it. There was more important matters to take care of than that," he said with a playful smirk on his face. I just stared at him like he was made.

I mean, he has been the one bullying me for years and years, yet he just helped me and he is actually being nice and kind to me...

"What are they?" Michael asked, as he pointed to my two necklaces around my neck.

I took them off and handed them to him for him to have a look. He looked generally interested. I still don't know why I am showing him all of this to be honest.

"Who's that?" He asked, pointing to the small boy next to me in the family picture in the locket.

"O-oh that's my b-brother R-Ricky," I said to him.

"And that's your dad?" He asked pointing to both of the men in each picture and I nodded yes. He looked at the dog tag quickly then gave them back to me and I put them back on.

"Well, I better get going," Michael said and starting picking up all of his books and puts them back in his bag.

Once he was all packed, I walked him downstairs and to the front door.

"Gemma? Before I go... Can you promise me something?" He asked and I looked a bit sceptical at him but he continued and said, "Promise me not to do that again?" He asked, gesturing towards my wrist and I knew what he was on about. I had put my bracelets back on, so you can't see any of it anymore.

"I-I'll tr-try," I told him and he gave me a small smile before walking away. But then he turned and said, "oh and I like your outfit."

I closed the door and just stood there.

What the hell just happened?
