Damien's POV:

"Damien, you better not fuck this up," Jake growled at me but I just glared back. Jack had just finished punching and kicking the living daylights out of Gemma, and there is a high chance that she could be blacked out by now. I did try to pull him away but he wouldn't listen. I am getting fed up with his shit. I know I agreed to help him because she was an annoying little brat, but I can see how weak she is.

Plus, at school, ever since Jake took Gemma, I have been watching Michael and his two friends, and Michael looked like he couldn't function properly. I never see him speak, and that’s weird because you used to hear him all across the halls. I see his two friends trying to get him to talk, but he wouldn’t buy into it, he just looks at them blankly then looks away again. I can see that it’s starting to worry them as well. Then I also noticed a girl hanging out with them now as well, but I hardly ever saw her face. However, 5 days ago, I bumped into her in the hall and as she looked at me, I noticed who she was. Lucy. My best friend from before I moved here. She knew I was changing back then and she probably figured out I fully changed by now. But I know one thing that hasn't changed. My love that I had for her. I know that sounds cheesy, but that's the truth. As soon as I moved away, I tried to get with girls and see if anything would happen, but nothing ever would.

"Damien! Are you even listening to me for fucks sake?" Jake shouted at me, pulling me out of my train of thought. "I knew you would do this! I knew you’d try and back out or do something to hold back on me!" he continued shouting.

"Shut up Jake! I am only doing this because I am coming to realise just what you have done and how bad it his. You're gunna kill her soon enough. I'm pretty sure you don't need something like that on your hands!" I shouted back.

"You're weak Damien. You always have been and you always will be. You're lucky I even helped you that time those kids were beating you up in the alley when you moved here! I saved your life for fuck sake! You owe it to me, to listen to me and follow my orders!"

"No, Jake! I won't! You may have saved you, but by listening to you and following you around, I have made my life more hell that it needs to me. I should have just walked away when I had the chance!"

Next thing I know, I am being punched one after another on the face and kicked in the gut. Just before he threw another one, because he knew I was going to pass out otherwise, he stopped and yelled at me to get out, whilst also pushing me out of the building he was hiding in.

I stumbled to the ground as I heard the door slam and I slowly pulled myself up and walked in whatever direction my body took me in because I didn't even have the strength to fight that at all.

After about 10 minutes of stumbling, tripping and falling over, I stopped in front of a park. I walked in and I soon saw the person who stole my heart so many years ago. I tried walking over to her but I ended up falling once again but this time I couldn’t get up. I had blood coming out of my mouth so it made it hard to speak. I tried calling her name but I could feel myself being pulled into darkness.

With one last breath, I took all my strength to say her nickname I always called her "Luce!" but I don't know if it actually worked or not because I blacked out straight away.

Lucy's POV:

I thought I heard something but I decided to ignore it and I heard it a few more times but still decided to ignore it because I thought it was just one of them days when you hear things or something.
