Chapter 12:

**Chapter 12!**

When I got into school the next day, I didn't see Michael, Luke or Calum anywhere and I kind of figured that they wouldn't be in, so I went straight to my class and zoned out for all of it. I don't even know why I am here anymore. I do all the work at home and I get ahead of everyone and the teachers know this but they don't bother sending me home. Instead they make me come to school and make me stay in school the whole time. I find it unfair and annoying to be honest because I'm actually bored in all of my lessons. I have to say, all the teachers like me, but I do get on their nerves because I always do the work and whenever they ask me, thinking I'm off guard I would answer the question to a full extent, and they are getting fed up with it. You would think that being a good student is something the teachers like but apparently not. They like every other good student but me, but they still like me... If that just made any sense whatsoever...

I felt my phone vibrate and I instantly looked at it thinking it was Michael, but my hopes vanished when I saw Ricky's name appear on the lit up screen. That's weird, he never texts me.

From: Ricky!

Hey Gems, just letting you know that the kid you’re tutoring isn't coming tonight. Mum told me to text you. Have a great day!

So, first Michael doesn't turn up to school and he doesn't text me, but now he has cancelled the tutoring. What the hell? I am so confused at the moment...

All day, I was waiting for a text from Michael but nothing came through. Was I worried? Yes. I kept on thinking that something had happened or something. Damien didn't come up to me and start pestering me either which I found odd.

When I got home after school, I saw Ricky and Ashton sitting on the sofa in the living room and I went and sat with them. They were watching some random programme that I have no clue what it was.

"Gems, because you have nothing to do tonight then, did you want to come to skate park with me and Ashton?" Ricky asked and he knew I couldn’t say no to that so I quickly got changed, put my trainers on and grabbed my skateboard and headed out with Ricky and Ashton.

When we got there, we all started skateboarding straight away. At one point, I stopped and sat down for a bit and went on my phone, and I still hadn't received a single text from Michael and by now I was starting to give up. Laughter filled my ears and I looked around to see if I can try and find where it was coming from. There was a small group of people to the right of me near a tree and 4 of them were just talking, but two were roughly making out with each other. I kept watching to see if I recognised any of them. I finally recognised 4 of them and they were Luke, Calum, Alice and Katie. Wait. Does that mean the other is...? As if on cue, the boy turned around slightly, breaking from their make out and what I thought was confirmed. It was Michael and that slut, Crystal. They were both smiling at each other and at that moment, my heart shattered.

I walked up to Ricky and Ashton and told them I was going to head back. They thought something was wrong at first, but I just played it off saying it was nothing and they hesitantly believed me and let me go. Now the bad part. The gate I need to walk out of, is near them lot. Great.

I walked over there with my head down and as soon as I looked up for split second when I got near the gate, I made eye contact with Michael and his smile that he once had vanished. I quickly walked away before the tears started to fall. I knew it was too good to be true. I got on my skateboard and left quickly. Many different thoughts were going through my head. Was everything he said a lie? Did he really just want to get in my pants? Whenever he was out of school, is this where he would be? With Crystal? I can't believe I fell for all this. I am so stupid!
